Jerrie's Adoption Story

Chapter Seven

Perrie's POV

   I can hear my baby crying. I'm in my room right now, but Zoey's in some trouble. She stole, it's safe to say Jade was not happy. But I know she's in good hands and I know Jade knows what to do.

   After I hear the commotion stop I decide I'll go check on the two. But I stop, when I hear a conversation going on. "I love you mommy" I hear Zoey say. 'What?' I'm thinking to myself. But I get a warm feeling in my gut. There's a pause of long silence "Belle your mommy is in the other room, if you'd like to go tell her" Jade finally said "I was talking to you. Auntie Jade, I think of you as my mommy too." I smile, and then the feeling is back again, what is that?

   I walk into the room quietly, and I see Jade staring into space in deep though and Zoey in her arms sleeping. I walk over and sit next to my fellow band mate. She still doesn't notice me though. I look down and see Jade is carefully rubbing ou- my daughters bum and rocking her slowly. Dang Perrie get it together! I scold myself. I mean of course Jade acts like her mom too, and she treats her with such care. From the outside looking in, it probably would look like we are all a family. I feel heat rise to my cheek at the thought. 'What is going on with me?' I wonder.

   I rest my head on Jade's shoulder and she finally looks at me I smile as does she. "I love you Pez" she says quietly so she doesn't wake Zo up. "I love you too baby" I tell her. "Do you want me to take her?" I ask worried that maybe her arms are getting tired. "It's alright my love. I'm going to take her to bed, would you like to join" I simply nod. Jade lays her down on the bed and kisses her forehead, how sweet. She waits for me to do the same. "Mommies?" I hear a soft voice call. I look at Jade and she has a shocked look on her face. I pretend I don't notice, I know exactly what it's about too. 'Would she mind.. being Zoey's mother too?' 'Perrie stop being a fool, she's her Auntie nothing more!' I have an inner battle with myself. I look to Jade once more and turn to the small girl. "What is it love?" I ask. "Can I sleep with you guys tonight?" She asked shyly. I look at Jade and she nods. "Of course princess" I carefully pick her up and we walk to Jade's room. I lay her down between Jade and I. "Jadey I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable.." I say feeling guilty. She looks at me sincerely and says one of the sweetest things, "it's alright my love. I consider her my child anyway. I will always be there for her. Just like I am to you. I will love her through anything, just like a mother does. Perrie I've never had a greater honor than have the title. I was just worried... you wouldn't like it. I mean YOU are her mother, you adopted her. So I thought maybe you wouldn't like her calling me that." She says looking down. 'My love I love it when she calls me that.' Her words were so heartfelt and genuine. It brought tears to my eyes. I look at her and she's already looking at me, my heat skips a beat. 'What's going on with me?' I think to myself. She wipes my tears and kisses my forehead. "I've never felt this way and it scares me." I say to myself. She hears and raises an eyebrow at me. I blush and look down "why are you scared?" She asked worried. I just look at her and say "I don't know... I just.. I wish I knew Jadey and that's what scares me, I don't know what it is. Jade I absolutely love the fact that she thinks of you as her mom too. I mean technically you are, you're the one who signed the paper with me. And I'm very happy it was you and not that prick." I say getting angry just thinking about Alex. She caresses my cheek and I instantly calm down. "Let's go to sleep yeah" "I love you Jade" "I love you too baby girl" I smile, I love it when she calls me that.

   I wake up first for once. I look at the two before me and sigh happily. I smile at the thought of last night, Jadey and I's conversation. She's so sweet and kind, she is perfect. I get up and kiss Zoey and Jade on the head and walk downstairs to make breakfast. I soon feel arms wrap around my waist.

   I jump at first but I realize who it was and leaned into her. "What are you making princess" she asked look over my shoulder. "Pancakes." I reply simply. "Would you like something else?" I asked worried that maybe she wouldn't want them. She laughs and shakes her head. I sigh in relief. "Would you like me to go get Zo?" She asked "yes please" she walks up the stairs and I hear groaning, no doubt coming from Zoey. Jade comes back down saying she couldn't get her up. I laugh and tell her to get the plates ready.

   I walk up the stairs and go into Jade's room. "Baby come on time to wake up" I tell her softly. She slowly but surely gets up and we go downstairs. Jade's made our plates and is at the table on her phone. "Thank you Jade" I sit down across from her and Zo come over to sit next to me but jumps back up whenever she sat down. At first I was confused but I soon remembered when Jade came over and set a pillow down on the chair. "Thank you" Zoey says shyly. "It's no problem hun" Jade says taking a bite of her food. "Perrie we've got an interview today at three" I roll my eyes and groan. I don't feel like working today! "Cheer up my love, it's a short one" she says giving me a smile.

   "Auntie Jess and Le Le!!" I hear Zo scream. Wow, that girl has got some wind pipes. I see her jump into Jess's arms and hug her. "Oi! What about me!?" I hear Leigh playfully pout. "Oh I'm sorry Auntie Leigh, I love you too!" And hugged her tight. I smile, I'm so glad the girls were so supportive of me adopting I mean it could take time out of the group and all. But they were all for it, and for that I'm grateful.

   "Alright Zo stay here and do not move. Here" Leigh hands Zoey her phone. "You can play on my phone" I Thank her and walk over to Zo. "Hey hun would you like anything before I we go on? Something to snack on?" I ask her. She's too invested in Leigh's phone to even notice I'm talking to her. I gently take the phone. "Mommy! I was about to win!" She yells out. I pause the game and look at her. "Well maybe if you'd listen I wouldn't have had to go that. And please keep your voice down" I say shushing her. "What do you want?" She asked crossing her arms. I raise an eyebrow and lean toward her ear "I suggest you drop the attitude." I say sternly. She immediately stops "Now as I was saying, do you want anything before we go on?" "Can I have a drink?" "Sure bug I have my water here somewhere" I say looking around for it. "Ahh there it is!" I call out and go grab it. "Here Love there's not much left in it, but it's should probably due you until we get out. I've got to go now love. Be good and stay put." I hand her Leigh's phone again before stepping out, and into the interview.

   Soon enough the interview ends and we get to leave. "Maybe we could all go out to eat. How's that sound?" Jess suggests. Doesn't sound like an awful idea. We all agree and go to this new place down the street, I didn't catch the name of. Zoey looks tired, it seems like she's fighting sleep. "Zo hun come here" she comes over to me and I pat my lap. She crawls into my lap and puts her head on my shoulder. "I'm sleepy mommy" she says tiredly. "I know love, why don't you eat a quick something and while we finish you can rest yeah?" I suggest to her. She shakes her head and says she's not hungry. "Come on bug you have to eat something, you hardly ate this morning" she whines and says she just wants to sleep. I sigh and tell her she's eating when we get home but by the time I tell her she's asleep on my shoulder. I rub her back and begin to eat. I don't even remember ordering, the girls must have for me.

   I glance at Jade who seems to be deep in thought. That's been happening a lot today, I hope she's alright. She soon snaps out it and looks at me and smiles. I blush and look down. I seriously need to figure out what is going on with me!
