Chapter Fifteen

Perrie's POV

  All I see is Alex swing the bat at Jades head! Tears steaming down my face as I see her fall to the floor. I see Jess with tears in her eyes tackling him to the ground repeatedly punching him. I hear Leigh come down and Zoey crying.

  "Hey her out of here!" I yell to her before Zoey can see the state everyone's in. "Zoey babe I need you to go upstairs please, don't come down until we get you" I hear Leigh explain to my six year old daughter trying to be strong. "Okay Auntie Leigh, hurry up please" I hear her say through cries. Once Leigh turns the corner to enter the room... she chokes back a sob and rushes to Jade's side. "Jade..." she calls out. But there's no answer. "The ambulance are on they're way" one of the police officers say while they drag a barely conscious Alex out the door.

  "Perrie.. I'm so sorry" Jess whispers out. I can't reply, I just hold Jade in my arms. Finally after what seems forever the ambulance arrive. They pull Jade out of my arms and tell me I can ride with them if I'd like. "Can you guys bring Zoey to the hospital... we have to explain" I tell the girls quietly. They simply nod and rush up the stairs. I get in the back with Jade and they are checking her pupils and talking doctor talk, which I can't comprehend.

  When we get there they rush Jade out and quickly take her in. "She's going to need immediate surgery, we suspect her brain might be bleeding" one doctor tells me. Before I can say anything he hands me forms to fill out. I'm still in shock, I don't think the whole situation has gone through my head quite yet.

"Mommy!" I hear Zoey cry. "I'm here baby" I assure her taking her into my arms. "Where's Mommy Jade?" I hear her whimper. "She's just a little sick is all, the lovely doctors are going to make her all better though. Don't worry" I tell her in a hushed tone. Leigh and Jess soon join my side. "She'll be okay in no time don't worry baby" Jess says to Zo. Zoey buries her head in the crook of my neck while I rock her.

  "Perrie Edwards?" I soon hear. I quickly stand up and walk to the doctor. "I understand you're listed as Jade Thirlwall's emergency contact?" He says to me. I nod and ask what's going on. "Well... she had some brain bleeding. The force and the location of the hit is not good at all. We suspect that she's in a coma... but she should wake up between three to four weeks time... I'm so sorry" he tells me. Trying to hold back tears I thank him and ask if we can see her. He nods and tells me her room.

  I walk back over to the girls and tell them the news, unshed tears in their eyes. Zoey's asleep on Leigh's lap. "Why don't you go back? I'll take Zoey with us and we'll come tomorrow... you need time to wrap your head around the situation anyways. And I'll call Norma in the morning" Jess says to me. I nod and tell her to drive safe. "I love you Pez, it'll be alright" Leigh assures me.

  I go back to Jade's room and see all these machines and wires all over her. Tears brimming my tears, but I don't dare let them fall. I walk over to her bedside and grab her hand. "Oh Jadey, you're my hero" I tell her lightly laughing at myself because I know she probably can't hear me.

  I look over some paper work the doctor gave me and I'm not too pleased. I just want my Jadey. I soon fall asleep, after a while. I'm not used to not having Jade in my embrace.

  I wake up to the door opening and the doctor come in. "I'm just going to check her vitals real fast" he tell me. I nod and watch him do his job while he strikes up conversation with me. "Alright Miss Edwards everything looks Although her heartbeat is a little slower than normal but that should be alright" he tells me walking out.

  I look at Jade and I can't contain myself, I break down... to the point I'm gasping for breath. "Jadey please wake up... I need you" I beg her. But there's no response..
