Chapter 15- The revelation.

 

 

It was a busy day at the shop on Wednesday since nearly the whole kingdom was out buying new dresses or suits for the crowning ceremony on Friday. And since the scheme of the party was masks and costumes the shop where Ella worked was packed as it was the best costumes shop in the whole kingdom. Even though it was good for the tips it completely tired Ella and Scarlett. The vampires couldn’t decide which costume they wanted and spent hours going through outfits giving Ella time to imagine herself chopping their heads off just to waste time.

“Finally! That was last customer, those vampires are pain in the ass sometimes.” Scarlett huffed as she hopped on the old arm-chair in the staff room making the chair squeak under her weight.

“They are pain in the ass all the time, Scar.” Ella grumbled as she sank down on the worn out couch opposite from the chair Scarlett was in. Ella draped her right arm over her face and cringed as the smell of sweat reached her.

“Gosh, I smell so bad!” Ella whined and dropped her arm away from her face to block the horrible smell.

“Ditto, let’s go take a shower.” Scarlett suggested and Ella nodded in agreement suddenly grateful that she begged the owner to build a shower room in the back of the shop for when the shop got this busy.

The two girls stood up from where they were and started for the back that was labeled ‘SHOWERS’ Scarlett pushed the door opened and got inside Ella right behind her.

“We really should talk to Odette about hiring another girl here.” Scarlett said and Ella mumbled an agreement as she walked towards the shelves that held fresh clothes. Ella picked up a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a button down sleeved shirt before walking towards her shower box and placing the clothes on the table outside the shower. Scarlett taking off her work shirt as Ella started to take of her jeans, the two girls have seen each other in only undergarments so it wasn’t weird for them to change in the same room.

“Who are you going with to the part? You do we have to go with dates.” Ella said attempting a small talk as she started unbuttoning her –drenched in sweat- white shirt.

Scarlett started fumbling with the button of her jeans as she started to nervously unbutton her jeans.

“Um... Yeah, I know we have to have a date. I am going with Daniel.” Scarlett said nervously as she took off her jeans and dropped them into the laundry box. Ella poked her head from the shower box she was in with a shocked expression her face.

“W-what?! Seriously are you like together now?” Ella asked her eyes widening as she took in Scarlett’s flushed state. Scarlett never blushes so seeing her all shy and nervous was putting Ella into a full on detective mood.

“Yeah, he asked me to be his girlfriend last week.” Scarlett said swallowing the lump in her throat.
