Chapter 10- The truth.

“What the hell!” Ella semi-shouted as she started at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. She had just hopped out of the shower and in the process of wrapping a fluffy white towel around her wet body she noticed something different as her eyes met her reflection in the mirror. So she walked closer to the mirror and her gaze trailed over her reflection a few times before she noticed what was off the scar it was starting to get a colour. The scar was of a beautiful rose its stalk circled around the heart, the stalk of the rose was covered in thistles. The rose had two large leaves that appeared like wings for the heart. It was an unusual scar and she still didn’t know why it looked so odd all she know about it that she got it during the war when she fainted. The scar used to be a shade paler than the rest of her body and it was bordered with a black shade. But as she looked at the mirror she noticed that the black colour that bordered the rose was starting to turn into a gold-ish shade. Ever since she started spending time with Edward the scar seemed to glow and get a new shade of colour. She and Edward have been searching together trying to find Johnathan ever since they met outside the shop.

She could tell that Edward is a caring man, he cared about his brother much and he refused to stop searching for him even though it has been longer than a week now and he still went out and searched like it was just the first day. Ella recalled the conversation they had two days ago and how angry he had got when she asked him if he will ever give up on finding his brother.

“Wouldn’t you just lose hope and give up?” she had asked innocently as they searched the forest where Johnathan had taken her. Edward’s head snapped towards her and his eyes blackened in anger. He didn’t want to think of the possibility that he might not find his brother. He lost one sibling before and he wasn’t planning on ever losing the other.

“No, I wouldn’t give up. If I was going to I would have gave up a week ago.” Edward said calmly.

“What do you mean?” Ella asked frowning as she followed Edward up the muddy hill.

“I am sure Ian has told you about the bond we have?” Edward stated and Ella nodded in confirmation.

"We sometimes use that bond when we want to communicate in secret, other times we use it to know each other feelings or thoughts. And as you know we can locate each other just like the day our sister got murdered. If he wanted to be found he would have opened the bond so I could find him but instead he blocked me out so I couldn't get into his head and find him. If I was willing to give up I would have given up the day he blocked me out." Edward said frowning. Ella stopped dead in her tracks and stared at Edward's tense back.

"Wait if he doesn't want to be found then why are we searching for him?!" Ella exclaimed, Edward stopped too and wiped around to face Ella. Edward stepped forward and stood right in front of Ella.

"Because I am his brother and I don't care if he wants to be found or not, I am going to find him and drag his ass back here." Edward said seriously. Ella cracked a smile and nodded.
