Chapter 28- The New King.

“Open the door! We are here due to the king’s orders.” a deep male voice exclaimed from the other side of the front door. Each and everyone in the room were frozen on the spot as they stared at the door. Loud banging and shouts from outside were the only sounds heard.

“I-I will go open the door.” Danielle stuttered slightly and Josh was instantly by her side telling her he is going with her to do so. Danielle’s hands were shaking where they gripped he door know and without Josh’s help she knew she wouldn’t have been able to get the door to open. The door swung open revealing more than ten guards in black suits. Some had pistols or ropes clutched in their hands others held cross bows. The guards instantly bragged into the room with their weapons up ready to strike.

“We don’t mean any harm to any of you.” The deep voiced guard announced loud and clear. He was tall more than 6 ft 5 inches and he was very muscular. It was a wonder how the suit didn’t give out. He wasn’t holding any weapons in his hands and his forearms were raised up in a peace offering manner.

“Then what are you doing here at this hour? And, Why are all those guards holding weapons pointed to our hearts.” Daniel said stepping forward from where he was beside his mate.

“We are here for a girl named Elaria.” The guard said keeping his eyes on Daniel who was by then shielding Ella’s petite figure behind his.

“Why do you want her?” Daniel almost growled his body taking a protective posture.

“The king gave us strict orders to come here and bring her with us back to him- alive.” The guard answered formally before asking “Now, Which one of you ladies is Elaria?”

Before any of them could even blink Ella was standing in-front of Daniel. “I am.” She said bravely her face blank of any emotion. Two guards instantly stepped forwards- one of them holding metal hand cuffs.

“No!” the three werewolves roared as they stepped forward too. Their eyes glowing- one red and the other two gold. Their teeth were bared and their claws were out. The click of the pistol was heard indicating that the guards were ready to fir if either of the men made a wrong move.

“Stay where you are or we will fire!” A guard holding a pistol warned.

“Guys! Calm down, it is fine!” Ella said reassuringly as she yet again stepped from behind Daniel. “It is okay, I am just going to go with them. See what Johnathan wants.”

“But-“ Daniel started but Ella shut him up with a hard glare.

“No buts. I will be fine.” She said before finally looking up at Edward who had been standing there frozen as he watched the whole scene play out. Edward’s face was stone hard, his hands were fisted at his sides and his posture was stiff.

“I am coming with, Drake.” Edward finally said his voice full or authority and power. The guards bowed immediately at the sound of Edward’s voice.

“I-I am sorry your highness but the king said you have to stay here.” Drake said while a guard hand cuffed Ella’s hands behind her back.

“I don’t care what my dick of a brother said. I said I am coming with you.” Edward said in a calm voice that shockingly made him sound even more threating.
