Chapter 14- The bond part 2

FIRST I AM SO SO SO SORRY ABOUT THE LACK OF UPDATES I HAVE GOT SCHOOL AND TESTS AND ABSLOUTLY NO TIME AT ALL SO I HAD TO TYPE THIS ON MY PHONE DURING SCHOOL XD SO I AM SO SORRY IF YOU FIND ANY MISTAKES I WILL PROBABLY EDIT THE CHAPTER LATER

"They brought Chole back to us two days later. I was happy to know she was well fed. However during the following two years they did expraments on us. Noting that the vervain plant weakened us and that we couldn't stand in the sun without getting our skin burned off.So they made us magical rings to help blocking the sun rays" Edward said touching the ring on his finger. "Only the first vampires got rings with emerald coloured diamond, the later got red diamonds." Edward explained. "They realized that we can't be killed so they kept us weak. They fed us once a week- they brought us criminals who were sentenced to death to feed on. I admit I felt no guilt while draining them from blood. " he continued "Once a month they would bring us a family and order us to change them. And we did we made a cut on our wrists and fed them our blood before breaking their necks. The first family we ever created was the Collins family who rule America now. They were poor like us and the guards had snatched them off of the streets. Theny were a small family two parents and a girl the same age as me and Johnathan she instantly felt attracted to Johnathan not that it bothered me anyway- they have been together for years now, they got engaged a year ago and should be getting married in two months time-. After four years of being lab rats they started selling us out to be slaves our to join wars. No surprise that we won nearly every war." Edward chuckled darkly before talking again. "We were five hundred vampires at that time we served humans and werewolves till the revolution and I guess you know the rest."

"I do." she said her voice only a faint whisper. She stared straight ahead with her knees tucked under her legs; trying to wrap her head around all of the new information and facts. After Edward had told her about their bond he had asked her if she wanted to know how the vampires came to be and she had taken up on his offer which was too tempting to her burning curiousty so they went to the secret place Johnathan had found and he told her almost everything except a few secrets that had to stay hidden - for now. Ella's head swam with the information and it took her ten minutes of staring at the water to put the pieces together and understand everything Edward had told her. Edward prepared himself for the questions he was sure Ella had but the first question to come from Ella's pink lips wasn't what he expected at all.

"He is engaged?!" she breathed not meeting Edward's gaze as she kept staring at the water. For a second Edward thought she was sad that Johnathan was engaged because she liked him and he felt his heart sink but then he remembered that Johnathan used to be her dead aunt's boyfriend and he felt sympathy for the beautiful girl he swore to protect with his life.
"Yes." he breathed and she nodded suddenly feeling disgust towards Edward who has been with another woman while he was dating her aunt. Edward was fusturated that he couldn't hear Ella's thoughts. He didn't know what was different about her that made it  impossible for him to get past the block in her mind

"Dollar for your thoughts?" Edward said Ella shook her head breaking out of her trance and looked at Edward frowning. 
"You can't read my mind?!" she asked confused Edward shook his head 'No' scowling. 
"No, I can't and he is really getting on my nerves." 
A chuckle escaped Ella's lips, her face lighting up with humor as she looked at Edward.
"Oh! Now I feel special." Ella teased. Edward pouted "Of course you do." ge grumbled crossing his arms over his muscular chest. Ella laughed at her protector's childish act and she leaned her head against his shoulder. 
"Aw, don't be grumby my mind is just too strong for your gift." She said poking his left cheek with her pointer finger 
Edward's arm wrapped around her waist and she squealed as Edward pulled her onto his lap so that she was straddling him. Edward's legs were dangling from the Cliff and she feared that she might slip and fall into the water. Quickly she hooked her arms around his neck and pulled herself closer to him till their chests were pressed against eachother

"Don't let me slip." Ella warned glaring half seriously-half playfully at him. She wasn't risking trying to move away from him- not that she wanted to anyway she was too comfortable, too safe and she loved that. She knew that those feelings had something to do with the bond they shared. She knew she could trust Edward with her life and she was grateful for that. 
After all Daniel wasn't the best guard he was either too protective or too not and irritated the hell out of her.

"I wouldn't." Edward vowed "I have been saving your life for quite sometime now, I know how much you hate water." he said tighting his grip around her shuddering as he re-called the unpleasent memory, Ella's body tensed as she stared at Edward.
"You were the one who saved me that night?" she stated rather than asked, she had spent the last four years wondering how she survived that night she was sure she was going to drown. She almost did but then out of nowhere she was pulled out of the water and placed on her bed. When she refocused on Edward's face his facial expression was blank like he was focusing on something inside his head. His expression suddenly turned to anger then concern to worry.

"Edward!" Ella tried to break him from his trance but he seemed so focused on something else. She started shaking him desparetly trying to bring him back to reality. 
"Edward!" she yelled in his ear before slapping him across the cheek which worked as his eyes re-focused his face contracted in horror. 
"What is wrong?" she asked worriedly. 
"Johnathan... I think I found him." Edward breathed his eyes widening
