Zelda's POV

Both night and day look the same in the Twilight; it is only one short part of each day, yet it lasts for what seems like an eternity.  A yellow sky with thick, dark clouds briskly moving in the air around the horizon. It scares me to think that if we don't save Hyrule in time, this is what it could look like forever.  I sensed Link and Midna in Farion Woods, relieve the Twilight in that area; I can have hope that progress is being done.  If I was not trapped in this tower, I would have gone along with them, to fight.  Although, even if I were free, all of the castle's weapons have been removed, and given to the warriors and guards of the Twilight; even my own sword that I had received from my father when I had finished my training one year ago.  I had trained to know how to fight with a sword, and even my bear hands for ten years.  My father had gotten some of the best warriors in Hyrule: Ashei, a castle guard who was raised in the Snow Peak mountain range, who taught me most of my training. Auru, an old friend of my fathers and guard when we went on trips.  Rusl, a trained sword maker, who taught me how to make my own weaponry with the simplest objects, and lastly, Shad, who is not strong physically, but very strong mentally; he taught me reading, writing, mathematics, magic, and the history of Hyrule, along with some old Hylian that he himself knows.  If only I had the chance to put these skills into work; if only I was not stuck in this tower for who knows how long.

I am still wearing the gown I wore during the day of the attack, the day my father died.  I had ordered one of the guards to bring me my casual blue dress from the castle yesterday, so I am hoping he arrives with it this evening; it is very unomfortable sleeping in a gown.

I have been writing these past few days, it makes the time here a little bit less lonesome.  I am hoping that I will be able to have these letters sent out secretly, I just need to contact the postman someway.  One of them is to Link and Midna, telling them that once they get through the Forest Temple, they must go to Kakariko Village, as the Twilight has spread there from the Northern part of the Eldin Province.  I have also written a letter to Ashei, telling her that I am trapped in the highest tower of the Castle. I am hoping that I will be able to-

A sharp, stabbing pain strikes my head.  I fall to the floor beside my bed, not able to move any part of my body from the pain.  The stabbing feeling fades after a few seconds, and I am left with a pounding throb at the back of my head.  I lift up and rest on my elbow, using my other hand to feel the back of my head.  No blood, and no bump; I start to wonder what caused this.

All of a sudden, I hear a whisper enter my mind.

"Princess Zelda . . . save him," says the voice.  It sounds awfully a lot like Midna's.  I think my thoughts back to her.

"What do you mean?" I think.  I await a reply.  I hear something at the back of my mind, but this time its not Midna, but a masculine voice; Link.

"I can't get up, I'm injured," he says.

I sit and think of the magic spell Shad had taught me to heel; it only works if the other person has a part of the triforce as well though. "I think I know a spell," I reply.  I try to think of the light, the power I have because of the triforce.  I open my eyes and see that my Triforce of Wisdom is glowing on the back of my right hand.  I feel my power flowing out of me.  I fall onto the ground, and I am not aware of anything that happens afterwards.

Link's POV

My eyes burst open, and I am suddenly aware of everything I wasn't two seconds ago.  I blink a few times to get the bluryness out of my eyes, and then stare at the tremendous, creature in front of me. It looks like nothing I have ever seen before.  I turn my head and see that Midna has collapsed as well, and is lying a few metres away from me.  I stand up and quickly run over to her, turning her around.
