Midna's POV

I wish Link was more gullible, then he wouldn't question what I tell him and he'd do more things for me.  But, of course, it's not like I hate it, at least he's smart enough to know how to travel through Hyrule.  Less work for me anyways.

I feel like he doesn't know whats coming for him in the near future.  He thinks that all he has to do is restore Hyrule from the Twilight, but in truth that's just the beginning.  After that, he's going to need to save the Fused Shadow's from the temples across Hyrule, only to be able to access the Mirror of Twilight to cross over and defeat Zant.  But I won't tell him just yet, I wouldn't want him to run away too early.  He'll find out when he needs to.

He's more useful than I thought he was.  I guess living on your own, without anyone else's help to survive does that to you; it makes you stronger and smarter.  What I was surprised about was how quickly he got used to his wolf form.

He's been having weird dreams.  Over the last few days as I was waiting for him to wake up, he was wimpering and having weird muscle spasms.  Whatever it is, I hope it doesn't affect him, and this journey he has to complete.

Oh well. All he has to do is listen to whatever I say, and this entire thing will go fine.  Thats his choice though, if he chooses not to do this, Hyrule will will turn into a dark, unwanted land.

Link's POV

The wall of Twilight surrounding Faron Woods looked monstrous.  There were golden patterns flowing up towards the thick clouds above the forest, with a dark, black smoke fading from the ground.  I couldn't see anything ahead of me.

Before I was dragged into the Twilight by Midna, I was stopped at Ordon Spring by the Light Spirit Ordona to kill off a Shadow Messenger.  It wasn't that difficult, it looks like my beast instincts kicked in at the right time.  I just hope that everything stays this easy in this journey.

When Midna dragged me through the Twilight Wall, I felt like I was falling apart from the great force.  Once I was on the inside I was practically unconsious because of the energy I lost.

Laying on the ground, I felt Midna fly around me and then all of a sudden fall onto my back.  I shoot up off of the ground, and spin around me, feeling her grabbing onto the shield on my back.

"He he he!" She giggles, "Wow, you get scared so easily!" I feel the shield and sword being lifted off of my back, and turn my head to see her holding the sword and wearing the shield on her head. "Are these the weapons you humans use? Not that good." I growl at her, and she giggles again as response.

"Oh come on, these weapons aren't for me anyways, they're for you!" She says.  She pats my back, and jumps off into the air, holding the sword and shield before turning them into dust.  I growl again, an instinct that I'm still not used to. "Don't worry, they didn't go anywhere," she says, "I just turned them into twilight particles for an easy trip without any luggage.

"Now, we need to get a move on! There's Faron Spring up ahead, with the Light Spirit that is now drained of power, you need to go there and talk to it."  I feel her jump onto my back.  I start moving my feet forward down the narrow path between the tall rocks.  The path opens up into a wide area, with trees and bushes around the edges bellow the tall rocks.  Black perticles still rise from the ground, and the grass yellows around the edges of the path either from the lack of rain or the twilight sucking the life out of it.  I think it's the second option.

Suddenly, a noise sounds above me.  I look up to see a black portal starting to open, with green flashing lighhts around the corners.  I back away from the danger opening int he sky, back to the entrance of the field.  As soon as I reach the entrance, three big black Shadow Messengers drop onto the ground.  Something stops me from backing away further, and I turn around to see a red, transparent barrier going around the entire perimeter of the area.
