Chapter 2: Meeting a Friend
Zelda’s POV
I woke up about an hour later to see it was storming outside. I liked Autumn, but not so much the cold and wet weather. The rain comforted me though, it was always nice to sleep during the rain. The soft pitter patter on the windows and walls, light thunder roaring in the sky. It was nice when it did not get too cold, then It’d be hard to relax because you’d be focused on keeping warm. You see the castle has thick stone walls so that the heat cannot escape from the inside, but it’s stone, stone tends to be cold. I sat up on the small couch and looked to see that by book was placed on the table next to me, father must have seen I was asleep. I walked into the main hallway to see the guards rehearsing a march they would do when our guest arrived. My maid Anna ran up to me like she was in a hurry.
“My princess, you must get ready, our guest is scheduled to arrive in an hour. I have already laid out your dress on your bed upstairs, along with your hair accessories. Go! Go! hurry up and change!” I nodded and walked to the staircase that led to the upstairs hallway leading to my room, I walked into my room and suddenly stopped. There on my bed lay the most beautiful gown I have ever laid eyes on.
Link’s POV
I woke up in the dungeon cell, it was raining. Great, I still haven’t fixed a part of my roof, now my whole house will be flooded. I stood up, and stretched my arms and yawned. I looked around the cell. Pretty decent actually, some space to walk around, a small window for light, not too shabby. I looked to the left corner of the cell. There was some hay, I walked over to it and decided it should make my sitting area a little more comfortable, I went over and picked up the hay. My eyes widened. There behind the hay was a hole, a hole that I could escape from. I looked around, no one in sight, perfect. I kneeled down, and crawled through the entrance of the hole. It was a little small but who cares. The hole led to another cell with an opened door. Finally, I can escape.
Zelda’s POV
There I stood in the mirror. Gazing at how beautiful this dress was. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The dress was a very like shade of a peachy-pink that basically looked like a creamy white. The bottom had peach stitching designs that almost looked like vines fading as they went up the dress. The top had a purple cover, that went longer in the back and had golden buttons on the front, which let down a piece of material in the middle, with colours of green, blue, yellow, purple, and pink. My shoulders had golden armor, and I had a golden necklace on with a blue diamond in the center. I had white long gloves that went just passed my elbows, with peach stitching on the ends and a triforce on my right hand. The triangles glowed. I still don’t know why they do that. My father says it’s because of my royal blood, but I’m not too sure. I had a small crown on, that touched just the top of my forehead. In the middle was a bright blue diamond, and the sides had golden leaves that got smaller toward my ears. My hair was half up, and the back of the tied hair was in a twisted braid. The bottom half of my hair was loose until the very bottom which had a small braid that went just past my waist. I looked beautiful, and this was probably the most beautiful dress I have ever owned. I heard a small noise in the hallway, I looked toward the door, I saw a small shadow that showed a person heading toward my direction, the shadow looked like no one I ever saw, “An intruder” I said to myself. I grabbed my sword off the corner of my bed.
Link’s POV
I slowly crept in the upstairs hallway, hoping that no one would notice me. I walked down the hallway, noticing that one of the doors was slightly opened. “Oh Goddess” I whispered to myself. I tried to creep around the door but I heard shuffling and someone whisper “Goddess I have to get out of here” I quietly whispered. I turned around and slowly crept back to the stairs. As I was slowly walking I stepped on one piece of hardwood that made a loud cracking noise, I turned around. As I was turning I felt something sharp encounter the side of my neck. ‘Busted’ I thought.
