before we start, let me just throw this out there:
THANK YOU
hello loves. here we are, at yet another end of yet another book. bus rides was a beautiful book to write, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
and i would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you little cuties. your comments, your votes, your ship name suggestions. your mere reads.
regardless of whether you were a silent reader, or a vocal one, my gratefulness is as plentiful as the stars.
(also, low-key thanks to the fact that I broke my leg which ended up giving me plenty of free time to sit down and write, lol)
so, thank you. and I hope you continue to support me on my future ideas and books.
WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK
➯ buses: prior to fracturing my ankle, i ported extensively by buses. and there's just something about bus rides. a calming, soothing sense of tranquility. when you get into the bus, seat yourself near the window, and plug in some music, it's almost therapeutic.
a hundred million stories unfold around you, a thousand different characters mill about, and you can't help but want to know everything about everyone. it's a wonderful place to read people.
and whenever i reached my destination, i'd internally sigh about the fact that I had to get off. at times, i'd wish to just keep travelling, and never leave. i'd wish for those four wheels to become a permanent reprieve from the worries that plagued my mind.
bus rides are magical, my loves. at least for me they were.
so to capture some of that magic, and put it into a book, has always been on my to-do list. and in the end, it helped me to understand this quote.
➯ imbalanced relationships: a relationship where both the people value the relationship equally; that's extremely rare to find. there's always going to be one person who loves more than the other. and that's very natural. it will wane and wax, the balance will tilt on either side, but finding the perfect equilibrium will be hard.
