"I'm sorry?"
Delilah sighed, and it was as if you could see the weight being lifted off of her chest.
"I know you, Parker Addington." She turned around to look at him, her face devoid of its previous melancholy. "You only bring Fraser and Parsley notebooks. Your aglets are always frayed. You have an unhealthy obsession for Fruit Pastilles, and you always stuff the empty wrappers into the front pocket of your school bag. You sleep for exactly 6 minutes everyday during English Lit. You never wear your first button. And you always roll up the sleeves of your jumpers up to half of your forearm."
Parker could fell the light red tinge creeping up the back of his neck.
She didn't know him, she knew him.
"Well then why didn't you acknowledge that? Wh-when you entered the bus, you looked at me like I was a stranger, y-you - "
"Sometimes," she began, her voice as soft as dandelion fur. She stood up and straightened out her shirt. "Sometimes I like to imagine a place with new people, where no one knows me."
With that, she got off at the stop at Lambroke.
