"wae? why aren't you eating?"

he lifted his head up with his spoon in mid-air, finally disturbed from his meal. he examined my face with a confused look, as if he was waiting for me to answer.

"do i look like i have an appetite?"
i raised a brow at him, heaving a sigh.

he plopped his utensils down on the table, and wiped his mouth off with a napkin, revealing a smirk afterwards.

"are you full then? is that why you're just staring at me while i eat?" he huffed. "do i look like a full course meal to you?"

the nerve of him! my eyes could only widen at his absurd and very disturbing statement.

"what nonsense!ㅡha. you wish, but my dog wouldn't even bite you if you were a bone. not that i have any." his jaw dropped.

i just rolled my eyes and averted my attention to somewhere else than him. and that's where i noticed how everyone else in the cafeteria has been watching the two of us this entire time.

this always happens when i'm with him.

"hey. can you just give me my notebook back?" i demanded. "you promised me yesterday, and the other day too. do you even have it?" i glared, but all he did was playfully whistle at my raising tone.

it was getting annoying. we ate lunch yesterday, but he said that he forgot the notebook at home! ugh. excuses.
i promised myself that after today, i won't fall for it anymore. wether he has it or not, i'm not gonna bother asking.

"chill, little miss." he leaned towards the table and smiled. "i won't break a third promise." i scoffed, as if i was offended.

"who gave you the right to break the first two anyway?"

he laughed and leaned back again to his chair, getting a grip of himself.
"arrasseo. arrasseo. you win."

"adorable." he mumbled. his lips formed a straight line smile and reached out to search something in his bag.

"here."

he handed the purple notebook to me.
"happy?"

"thank you."

i replied. packing my stuff and was ready to leave.

i know i was fighting hard for this stupid dollar worth stationary, but now that its in my hands, why do i feel sad all of the sudden?

without the purple notebook..

i had no reason to see him anymore.

"don't miss me okay?"

he stood up with his bag slung on his shoulder, and his lunch tray in his hands. the bell was already ringing, and that means classes are about to begin.

"as if i wouldㅡ"

"good. then take care of my notebook. i'll see you tomorrow."

huh?
