5pm. the four of us were still waiting by the school's front gate, and wendy was still nowhere to be found. the sun was already setting at that time; a bit too early for a sunset, but that only meant that winter is coming sooner than we thought.
but what's more unusual is the sky turning into a shade of purple.
"sorry to keep you guys waiting!" wendy held onto her knees for support, panting heavily yet she was still smiling. "let's go!"
"you didn't have to run silly." yoongi tapped her head lightly, with his face blushing at her cuteness; clearly written all over his face.
we walked across the street to the bus stop, but even then wendy and yoongi were inseparable.
yoongi was carrying wendy's bag, and both of them were holding hands. all smiles, rainbows and unicorns. tf, i thought yoongi wouldn't even have one single romantic bone in him. i'm surprised he even has a girlfriend.
tss. what am i even saying?
now i feel more depressed. i groaned internally, sighing heavily as soon as we reached the bus stop in front of the school.
"not again!" jimin complained. punching me in the arm. "we had enough of your sighs!"
"ya! you bastardㅡ"
"jimin's right though. instead of you two fighting again, why don't we talk about you, taehyung." namjoon cut the two of us before we could start bickering, and caught me off guard by the topic.
"me? why me?"
"no? then let's talk about joohyun." he sarcastically answered. tch.
i just sat on the bench as we waited for the bus to arrive; jimin and the couple followed after, all of us sitting side by side except for namjoon. they surrounded me, but i remained silent the whole time.
"you're too obvious tae."
huh?
"you're probably still upset about joohyun leaving early, and it's also obvious that you two are not in good terms at the moment. but hey, maybe it wasn't her intention to ditch you. she probably just forgot about meeting you after school." namjoon said, enlightening everyone else, but i wasn't convinced one bit.
"forgot about it? but we just talked yesterday, how can she forget?" i stopped as sudden flashbacks played in my mind.
joohyun does tend to overlook a lot of stuff; but what if she's just using it as an excuse to run away?
"oh well, i guess it is possible for her to forget." i awkwardly laughed, "but it's not always the case." then i forced a smile, thinking that i could wipe off the worried look on their facesㅡbut it didn't work.
"you'd know by now right? that she's forgetful, i mean." wendy abruptly said amidst the silence, catching all of our attention.
