Another Open Wound [9°]

Kim Taehyung pulls the white and orange cigarette between his index finger and thumb away from his lips, the side of his mouth parting as grey smoke seeps through his teeth, traveling up above his tawny brown hair. His eyes once trained on the burning cig, cast upon the woman with her arms tied down to a elongated wooden platform. A bucket of water beside her and a soaked blue cloth against her face.

Her chest heaves up and down, limbs shaking against the restraints that bind her. Struggling to breathe with the weight of the fabric. She had woken up in this position. The last thing she remembers was Jupiter strapping her back to the table and falling asleep twenty minutes later to be awoken with water being poured into her airways as she gasped for air.

Her long fingers stiffen, wrists shifting around as she continues to toil against the binding. She hasn't differentiated if this were real or not; if what she's going through is actually happening or a nightmare she hasn't woken up from. Everything is dark and cold. She smells the dampness of the towel and the stench of burning tobacco.

It's been an hour like this, of torture. Vocal cords singed from screaming. All she can do is cry silently and pitifully. Throat cauterized. Tears dried up or mixed with the water against her face, the woman unable to tell. Harrowing mewls leave her cracked lips, begging whoever to make her purgatory end.

He finally says something for the first time since she's been like this. It was sort of a control tactic. Eliciting more fear inside the woman when he takes away her sight and the recognition of who was tormenting her.

"There's a rumor going around that I'm turning soft for you, Evangeline." Her head turns in the direction she hears the silvery baritone of Kim's crow. He remains by the wall a few feet away from her figure, wearing a black dress shirt underneath a dark blazer. Ebony slacks against long legs that shift over the other, left claw inside his pocket. "I hope this rumor doesn't make you think too highly of yourself."

He pushes his back away from the wall, stepping toward the woman. Ill-omended eyes behold a burning rapture as they peer over Evangeline. Stalking its prey that lays helpless to the attack. Taehyung further berates the blind folded woman, humoring over this hearsay spreading like wildfire amongst his staff. Another drag of his cigarette.

The man mentions the presence of a companion Evangeline has acquired while at her stay in the Institution, wanting her to reveal who she confides in. The woman chooses not to say anything despite aware of the consequences that her silence leads to. She's afraid that if she were to confess, not only would they keep separate her and Yoongi, but Yoongi would be harmed in the process.

The silence in which Taehyung loathes trickles inside the large room and covers the both of them in a prickly blanket of despair. His arms fall behind him as he paces around the wooden bench in which she resides. He contemplates in that moment, aggravated with her disobedience. Free hand rising to run over his furrowed face as he exhales before balling his hand into a fist beside his thigh.

"You pathetic little girl." She cries as the cloth tightens around her face, water splashing and weighing down the fabric. Her head swivels back and forth wildly. Lower body twisting and turning against the leather restraints.

The water over her face comes to a stop. She's gasping for oxygen. He observes the unnatural twisting of her body in attempts to free herself from this cruel punishment. He laughs out, arms rising up before his left hand slaps his chest twice. His voice chambers throughout the bare room, ringing into Evangeline's ears clogged with water.

"You're in my domain!" Her silence wasn't going to be dismissed inside his barony where he has excessive amount of authority over Evangeline. He will continue to do outlandish things until she decides to give him what he seeks.
