Reap what is Sown [11°]

Evangeline is dragged into a room by her arm.
She's dropped to her knees by the handler who brought her here, groaning as she braces herself with her locked hands. Her heavy eyes turn toward the door once it shuts close. Then they examine her whereabouts. This was the Slaughter. A room with pink cushioning all around. She feigns the color odd and out of place with the rest of the Institution. The only thing unsettling about this room is the nauseating shade of pink chosen.

She realizes there's no bedding for her to lay. They expect her to sleep on the ground like a mutt with fleas. The woman's thoughts then preoccupy the encounter with Yoongi earlier, a set feeling of guilt in her stomach for making the man react like he did. She remembers how pallid his face had turned. The rapid blinking of his eyelids. His elbows pressed into his sides. The shrill in his voice as he screamed. She wonders if Park managed to calm him back down and if he's doing better now, having no way to know now that she'll be in the Slaughter for a month.

The thought of his family alone caused such a trigger of panic from Yoongi. She can somewhat sympathize with him, growing up she would come home from school to an abusive father and hopeless mother. Being blamed for her mistakes by her father and being rejected by her mother when she tried to help the markings fade away. The only thing worth clinging onto was her younger brother's salvation.

Her mother was never supportive as much as she should have been. She claims to love her daughter, though it was hard for Evangeline to differentiate between what was unconditional and what was convenience. Evangeline knew she had to get away from them once she realized her mother was jealous of her, treating her differently than her prestige younger brother.

Evangeline just wanted a caretaker, instead she was met with resentment.

She does feel terrible for leaving her brother at home in Incheon to venture off. She tries to coat her actions as beneficial for the both of them, rather than a selfish decision. She had a plan; earn enough money to be able to bring her younger brother along and have him continue his studies as she works to pay off their living expenses and anything else he needs.

Evangeline was working hard for the simple fact that she didn't want her brother subjugated to the same poor living conditions she went through growing up. She knows he has potential and if it means giving up on the dreams she has for herself, she was willing to make the sacrifice.
As it stands right now, she isn't sure of what the future holds.

The woman ceases her thoughts once she realizes she was drifting again. She doesn't want to think about her family. There was no point in bringing up past hurts, it wouldn't get her anywhere in the present. She needs to focus on getting out of this Institution.

Her body maneuvers into a more comfortable position, crossing her legs as she stares toward the entrance. She still doesn't understand who that man was in the grey suit and how he has authority to place Evangeline in confinement without Kim's notice. She thought that Kim Taehyung was the only head master and called all the shots, but Yu Kwon changed her schema. Does that mean there are others like Yu Kwon that she isn't aware of and are they as demented as him?

From what she knows, there are maids and butlers who seem to be lower ranking. They aren't involved in sustaining Acts other than bathing, feeding, and clothing patients and members of the facility. Then, there are the Handlers who escort patients to and fro. Next, there are Kim Taehyung's men; Park Jimin, Jung Hoseok, and a man named RM. The three men would be classified as a level two threat. They're dangerous, but they don't have as much authority as someone like Yu Kwon. She isn't sure where exactly he falls in line between Taehyung, but if he has to make up a lie about taking her away, she assumes he's just under the fore mentioned, but a higher ranking than Kim's men.
