The doctors face morphs into a muddled expression as he peers toward Evangeline. He reiterates what she last said, making sure he heard right. "You want to see...Mr. Kim?" Receiving a nod of confirmation his eyes look away for a few seconds before returning back to the patient. He's not quite sure if it's a good idea to have Kim see the state that she's in. He explains his concern to the woman, showing his discomfort to her request.

Despite his gentle decline, Evangeline persists. The way she sees it, this decision will benefit her the most. Seokjin weighs out his options too, exhaling through his mouth as his hand comes to rest against his forehead. The doctor knows how Kim can get when he's possessive. He doesn't want his boss to revert back to a bad habit they tried to get him to end. He also feels that Evangeline doesn't know what exactly she's asking for, or attempting to achieve by meeting with Kim.

His eyes land back on the woman as he examines her body. "It's not ideal to have a patient moving around in the state that you're in." His arms cross in front of his chest, lips firm. For now, he attempts to alter Evangeline's incentive as much as he can, methodically steering her off the topic of his boss.

She scoffs, "My health is the least of my problems right now."

"It may be out of your concern, but it's not out of mine." He interjects, walking toward her to monitor the IV hooked to her arm.

Evangeline's legs shift underneath the white covers. Glaring at the doctor. His eyes connect with hers, thinking of how childish she looks. She exasperates, saying Seokjin doesn't understand where she's coming from. "Before you walked in that man was on the verge of doing something to me that could never be forgiven...I need to speak to Mr. Kim!"

She was right. Seokjin can't deny that. Though, he's still hesitant. He hasn't thoroughly thought of the possibilities in Kim seeing the state that she's in right now. Her looks back at the woman. It does hurt him seeing the vulnerability she's trying to hide behind a stern gaze. He can she's somewhat dazed, irises blown, what Yu Kwon had almost done to her sent her back to a time where she wasn't saved.

Sighing one final time, he admits deafeat as he reaches over to press a button on the wall. A moment after a buzz, a feminine voice emits from the round speaker above the button. His gaze falls onto the woman. "Please, inform Kim of my notice...along with a patient of his."

He helps Evangeline out of the bed, making sure she doesn't get tangled in the wires attached to the IV pole. This is the first time she notices the change in her clothing, dressed in clean light blue scrubs compared to the old and dingy yellow uniform she desperately needed to retire.

"I'll ask one more time, are you sure about this?" Seokjin questions warily before doing anything else, his hands hovering around her torso to keep her upright and balanced. Her frail hands wrap around the IV pole, body clinging near it as she takes a moment clearing the light headedness from standing up too quickly. She nods despite feeling the opposite. Inhaling, Evangeline begins shuffling toward the door to the ICU. Wobbly legs determined to bring her to her destination. She uses the pole as a sort of clutch, her right hand reaching toward the wall to give her momentum to push forward.

The doctor strolls from behind, keeping an eye on her stature. He'll admit, she's got grit. He can't say he knows many people as hell-bent and stubborn as Evangeline. He himself doesn't like to be around his boss because of how frightening he can be at times, but here she is, strapped to an IV, malnourished, beaten up, and still insists on seeing Kim.

As they step outside he directs the woman to take a left and keep walking. Their journey to his study is a bit longer than normal, Evangeline's fatigue being a catalyst. She doesn't understand why she already feels out of breath, they've barely moved away from the entry to the unit. Despite the lack of progress, she won't admit how she's feeling because she doesn't want to be proven wrong by the doctor.
