Muffins of Remorse
Gyn saw AJ return,
The sheriff's order clutched in his hand.
A very nice dinner for 3Gun and CG,
Within an hour it was ready for delivery.
Gyn was ready to go,
When Ms Darkly entered the door.
"Hold that Gyn,
Something wrong happened,
3Gun called CG by another person's name.
He swears it was an honest mistake,
The sheriff wants to add something."
Ms Darkly boxed a lot of muffins,
Triple chocolate and strawberry cream.
She then asked AJ for white frosting and jam,
One by one, she added the decoration.
When it was done, she called AJ and Gyn,
Both read what was written and ended up smiling.
"Think it'll work?" Gyn asked.
"Let's hope so." AJ answered fast.
"It'll work." Ms Darkly reassured,
She bound the box with a pink satin cord.
"Take the food to the sheriff;
To CG, the muffins.
Gyn, open the box when you hand it to her,
Make sure she reads every letter."
Gyn was quick to deliver,
Found the sheriff waiting by his door.
She then found CG fuming in her office,
She opened the box, at the deputy's request.
"Please read, miss, I'm not leaving til you do,
3gun wrote this for you."
CG looked inside the box, and read:
"It was an honest mistake,
You know I'll never forget your name,
I'm sorry CG, really.
Will you please still have dinner with me?"
