Guard Duty
Loren couldn't believe it,
That in Lou's bed, Billy did sleep.
To Tent City she was about to go,
More than ready to confront the two.
But AJ stopped her on her tracks,
Told her she shouldn't do that.
"Leave them be, Loren,
Its something with shouldn't meddle in."
Loren protested.
"Rue's my friend, AJ.
You can't ask me to just walk away.
I'm going now and you cant stop me,
If my brother asks, I'll be in Tent City."
Loren stormed off to find Billy,
AJ followed her quickly.
The Marshall saw him, and asked,
"Where are you and my sister going at?"
"Loren's wants to talk to a friend, sir,
Just somewhere around the corner"
"Alright, but keep off Tent City,
That was where Tex Mex was last seen."
AJ nodded and caught up with Loren,
Told her what her brother said.
Loren stopped and spun on her heels,
"Hold it AJ, I'm going back to the hotel."
The baker smiled, "So we're going back?"
"No. The hotel's where my six shooters' at."
"You've got to be kidding..."
"Nope, AJ. I can handle some action."
AJ sighed in resignation,
He's no match for Loren's determination.
He then asked her to wait,
"I'll get my pole from the cafe."
AJ arrived with Ms Darkly gone,
He asked the Marshall why he was alone.
The Marshall said something about a plan,
To sneak Margarita in town.
"Her?!
She almost killed your sister!"
"I know,
But she's our chance to nab that bandito.
Myna also asks a favor from you,
If you'd help keep Margarita secure."
AJ went along with the Marshall's plan,
He then went to the hotel to get Loren.
With AJ's news, she agreed to go back,
Billy will have to wait for that flak.
AJ also had something to say.
"We'll be seeing Billy really soon,
But he probably shouldn't hear about Lou.
He's on a mission, Loren.
We can't afford to distract him.
There's also one thing I want you to tell me,
Seeing Margarita again, are you ready?"
