SHORT IMAGINE Both you and dan have been broken up for a few years now, and the sad thing is that you're both upset about it. This truly is the worst pain you've both ever encountered in your life. Being away from each other feels like hell.

Sadly, your new partners mean nothing to you, as for your you're both still madly in love each other. But you can't exactly go back to that relationship you had before.

Today is your wedding, you only said yes to your new partner because you got proposed to in front of your whole family. It would've been embarrassing to say no.

After the awful first dance—where both yours and Dan's eyes were attached to each other's the entire time. You're the only one on the dance floor with your goddaughter, whom of which is also Dan's. You both play around, whilst your families bond over some champagne.

Everyone seems bored, or too professional, to dance. The groom has gone outside with his mates, you don't know what he is doing, and to be honest you don't really care. That's when Dan comes up to you after your goddaughter runs away to the other kids, "Dan?" you whisper with a smile in your voice.

Dan looks at you with tears in his eyes. "Congratulations..." his voice trails off as a slow song comes on...it would've been your first dance song with Dan.

He never showed up to the altar tho.

"May I?" Dan asks offering to dance, you smile nodding your head while feeling dead inside. You let your bodies sway to the song, slow dancing. He holds your waist so you get closer and closer to him...you don't stop him. You miss how actual love felt. Your new spouse is a rebound. You was going to call it a day but then he proposed.

As the lyrics go on, the words seem to ring true which makes you and Dan do everything to hold yourselves together while swaying.

As the sad song comes to an end you put your head on Dan's shoulder and bury it into his neck sobbing. The slow dance turns into a tight hug. "I love you," he gently whispers in your ear before letting you go.

"I love-" before you can say what you feel for him back...Dan walks off, pushing past your partner on the step which making his cigarette fall out of his hand. Dan looks back at him and sees he is chatting up a bird in a tight mini dress.

"You don't deserve her, mate!" Dan loudly hisses feeling anger and frustration. Your partner nods his head towards a heavily pregnant woman waiting outside the hall, already holding a toddlers hand. "neither do you."
