liam Take your time actually, he's snuggling up with me and I don't want to wake him. He's soo fluffy.
mason You really like him, don't you?
Liam looks over at the brunette, his eyes drifting to look at all of the chimera's features. He just seemed soo perfect, there weren't any flaws that he could find. That made the beta wonder if the boy was an angel, someone so perfect that all he gave was happiness and joy to everyone. He was the glow that could make the angriest, frustrated boy become happy. That's what Theo did to Liam.
liam No. I love him Mason. With all my heart.
Theo may look perfect, but every angel makes mistakes. Theo was cracked, he was manipulated as a child and was never shown any love. He was a fallen angel and it was Liam's job to get him back on his feet. The boy in his arms began to stir awake, catching the beta's attention.
"Hey bab— Theo." he figuratively smacked himself in the head for nearly calling him that.
Theo instantly fell out of his arms, him walking away from the blonde. His eyes weren't sky blue anymore but a darker blue, only a shade from being completely black. He didn't have the soft look on his face, he looked like he was scared. Liam had only seen the boy like this once before, when he was having nightmares about his deceased sister.
"Theo, what—"
"Who are you?" barely a whisper came out, tears filling his eyes.
"Hey, you're okay now."
"Where am I? Why am I here? I just want to go back home." fear was seeping through his cracked voice and Liam realised something.
Theo had no clue who he was. And that broke him inside.
"Come here and we can talk about it."
"No! I want baby blue!" the chimera began to yell, taking a step back everytime the beta would walk forward.
The blonde almost collapsed to his knees when hearing that. That was what he would use to call him, baby blue. He adored the name, Theo wouldn't let anyone call him that but him. It was their thing, only theirs. His love didn't recognise him, he had become another person.
"Liam, is— Theo!"
Mason stormed through the door, grabbing the glass out of the brunette's hand that was aiming for Liam and placed it down on the table next to him, it far away from Theo's grasp. The human looked at his best friends, his teary eyes looking at the person that was once the love of his life. He was broken, Mason noticed that from a mile away.
Mason had his hands on Theo's shoulders, trying to hold him down. He could feel claws being dragged through his stomach, a small whine coming out of his mouth.
"What's happening to him?" it came out as a mumble but thankfully, Mason heard the beta, which gave him an idea.
"Theo! Hey Theo, where's the confession?"
"What confession?" he heard a rough voice, evil almost taking over.
"The confession you wrote for Liam! Where is it?"
All of a sudden, Theo stopped. Mason could still feel pain in his body but he knew he would get better. The chimera's eyes had gone by to the sky blue that Liam fell in love with a while back. His breathing calmed down but was increased again, knowing where he was. He couldn't let Liam see like this yet.
"I'm sorry." he shoved the paper into Mason's hand before rushing out the door, not even taking a glance of the blonde.
He didn't deserve to have his eyes lay on the most beautiful thing to him, after what he had done.
"Theo, wait!"
The dark skinned boy turned to see the blonde on the floor, his hair in a mess, his eyes still on the door that his love had ran out of. He had come over and crouched down to face him. Liam looked up to him, sobs coming through his lips and he was pulled into a hug by his friend.
"Here. Read this." he gave the beta the paper after they parted from the hug.
"What is it?"
"Theo's explanation for everything that happened."
Liam looked at the letter in his hand. Finally, he was going to get the answer that he has been waiting for since Theo sent that first letter all those weeks ago.
But the question was: was he ready?
