Waiting by the metal doors, the alpha felt a shiver of fear run through him. The last time he came here was to save Lydia from the Dread Doctors and that night still haunts him to this day.

He snapped out of his thoughts when one of the members of staff unlocks the gates, his face filled with dread. The people here always give Scott the creeps.

"Scott McCall?" he asks and the boy nods as they lead into the mental institution.

"Why Eichen, Theo? Just why?" he thought as he looked round, his brown eyes looking round in caution.

The brunette didn't even realise but him and the guard had reached the room, the steel door shut with the window covered. The guard knocked three times on the door and Scott prepared himself of what to say. Was he going to punch him for messing with Liam once again, was he going to hug him to thank him for Liam's happiness? He just had no clue.

But who had opened the door wasn't who the werewolf was thinking of.

"Mason?" concern fills his voice as the dark-skinned boy stood there, Scott smelling the fear and dread off of him.

"Hey, Scott."

"What's going on? Why are you here and where's Theo?"

"Stop with the questions and get inside. I've got something to tell you." he shushed him and Scott listened, closing the door behind him.

"Those notes that Theo sent... yes he wrote them, but he didn't send them."

"Then who did?"

"Me. I did."

The boy was in shock, hearing his friend's response. Why on earth would Mason help out Theo? They never liked each other, it didn't make sense.

"But why? Why you?"

"He chose me to, because... despite me hating saying this but Liam does love Theo. And Theo loves him too but he knew he couldn't go and say that straight away. He needed to build it up, I mean this is Theo Raeken we're talking about: he's never been in love. And I've seen the way they look at each other, we can't stop them from being together. I'm doing this for Liam, he needs Theo in his life."

"He was always so... arrogant and rude. I just don't understand why he fell for Liam. They're opposites."

"See, you think that... but they're not. They both wear this armour that hopes to protect them from any harm but underneath all that? There's two young vulnerable boys who would break at a single touch. They were moulded to be together."

Scott felt a tear rolling down his cheek, a small smile forming on his lips. He never understood the whole situation but hearing that, he realised that both of the boys needed each other and he and his pack needed to do something about it.

"We need to bring Liam."

"We can't, not yet anyway. Look at Theo, Scott." both their eyes glaring at the chimera in the bed.

"I promised him that I had to send the final letter to Liam. That's when they can see each other, that's if Liam actually listens and follows the letter."

"What's inside it?"

"Theo's confession."

god thiam is soo cute, why weren't they canon :(
also this was soo much fun to write, i have kinda given you guys what's going on with Theo but not yet. that will come in the confession, which will be in a few chapters.

the next chapter may be a slight jump as it would go back to Liam's perspective and will focus on him again.
also, someone's gonna come back :))
