Liam had been running for a while now and he had reached the woods. He looked around him and no-one was behind him, his heart dropping slightly. He knew that his anger had gotten the best of him but he thought that he mattered enough for at least Scott to follow him.

He wasn't one to be jealous but he could see the fondness that Scott now had over Theo. Yes, they were childhood friends but after everything that happened last year, their friendship was oddly close. He found it unusual and wasn't entirely sure if it was just a 'friendship' between the alpha and chimera.

A sudden buzz caught the beta out of his thoughts and pulled out his phone from his jean pocket, face-palming at how many text messages he had gotten from the pack.

Liam, I'm getting worried! Where the hell are you?

Liam, baby, I'm so so sorry. Just come home so we can talk properly about this.

MY SON, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? GET BACK HERE OR I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL SHOVE MY BAT UP YOUR WEREWOLF ASS!

Don't listen to a word Stiles says. But we're worried about you, come home!

Dude, where did you go? I've been calling and looking for you for ages.

Sighing, Liam ignored all the messages and began to walk further into the woods. He just needed some time to himself, everything has meddled with his head. Deep in his thoughts, he didn't realise someone was following him.

"All alone, huh? Isn't that a little dangerous for your species?" someone calls out and he turns to face Monroe, a gun aiming at his head.

"Why are you back? We won, you lost."

"You may have won the battle, little beta. But I'll win the war."

Claws and fangs out with his amber eyes burning at her, Liam was ready to attack. But the sound of a bullet didn't ring through his ears, instead, a piercing scream did. He turned to see the strawberry blonde behind him with the brunette beside her, his bat ready in his hand. Monroe collapsed to the floor, the scream knocking her unconscious.

"Thanks, guys." the beta felt that he could finally take a breather.

"You're welcome." Stiles calls back but gets a smack on the head by the banshee.

"You didn't do anything, I could hear you quivering." she sassed as he walked over to Liam, engulfing him in a hug.

"What happened? Scott called, saying that you and Theo argued and you ran out."

Liam continued to hug the redhead, Lydia could hear quiet sobs coming through. She understood from there. She pulled him up to face her, wiping the tears that had fallen onto his cheeks. She gave a sympathetic smile as he smiled back, ruffling his blonde hair.

"You two will be fine. You just need to talk to him, that's all."

"Okay, Lyds, Liam. We need to go." the human speaks, making the two look up at him.

Stiles had the panicked face that he had when something had gone wrong, his phone clutched in his hand. He could see that Scott had texted him but the beta already knew what had happened.

"Where is he?"

"The hospital."
