Special Chapter 1/?

After some considerable amount of years (4yrs😁), my stubborn heart felt for Darren. So here are some series of special chapters. I'm not sure how many I will write but hopefully you will enjoy them. Kung may magbabasa pa po. 😅

SC #1

Hindi pa rin siya makapaniwala na mayroon na siyang anak. Na ang batang yakap niya ngayon ay kanyang dugo’t laman. Na sa kabila ng mga mali niyang nagawa sa buhay ay biniyayaan pa din siya ng isang milagro.

“Welcome back, Darren.” Narinig niyang sambit ng babaeng dahilan kung bakit nagsumikap siyang makabalik sa kanyang sarili.

While still hugging his son, he looked up and found her beautiful tear-stained face. She was smiling despite the tears and he never felt so blessed to have met an angel who brought so much light into his life.

“Where’s my girlfriend?” he asked in a weak voice, caused by the strong medicine he was taking. “I’ve been here for a long time and I haven’t seen her, even just once.”

The doctor leaned back in his seat and gave him a sympathetic look. Ayaw na ba siyang makita ni Eunica? Dahil ba sa kondisyon niya na hanggang ngayon ay wala pa rin siyang malinaw na impormasyon kung ano?

“About your girlfriend…” umpisa nito habang patuloy siya nitong tinititigan ng matiim, paraan ng pagtingin na sobrang pamilyar siya dahil madalas niyang gawin iyon sa kanyang mga pasyente noon. “Don’t you have any recollection of meeting her before? I mean prior to her being your patient?”

His forehead knotted. What did he mean? Other than meeting Eunica as his patient, he cannot recall any incident of meeting her in the past. The doctor can see the confusion written all over his face. He cleared his throat and leaned forward on the table, leveling his face with his.

“Darren.” Umpisa ng doctor, whose voice was so serious, a feeling of dread swept over his whole demeanor. Whatever he will learn, it will change everything he believed in. The doctor, whose name was giving Darren a hard time recalling, seemed to be having second thoughts about telling him whatever it is he was supposed to be telling.

“Doc, please tell me.” Malumanay niyang udyok dito sa kabila ng malakas na pagkabog ng kanyang dibdib.

“The night you were taken to this place, Eunica was brought to the hospital. Unconscious, her head was bleeding.” Pagsisiwalat nito sa kanya. The remaining color from his face vanished.

Eunica was hurt? Who hurt her? Was it Enzo? Was it him? The thought of him hurting her brought chills down his spine. But that is not possible. Even in his cloudy, antipsychotic drug induced state of mind, he knew it was impossible. He will never hurt Eunica. He loves her. He vowed to protect her, mamamatay muna siya bago niya ito saktan.

But in the back of his mind, he has doubts. Doubts about himself, about the credibility of his own mind. Because why else would he be sent in the facility if he didn’t do anything?
