Being God's light

Strength

Philippians 4:13  
"I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

I think all of us even at least once in our lives has been told "you can't do this " or " you won't be able to this as well as I can " or the most common one amongst girls (especially when your younger ) "you can't do this or that because your a girl"

I feel that by saying those things especially to girls it breaks your confidence and give you this mindset that , you know what maybe they're right. I can't be as smart as that person and I can't play that game as well as that person and I never will because I'm a girl. Which is the exact opposite than what God thinks of us.

God created each and every one of us different with each our own set of talents and abilities. God created us to change the world and not let the world change us . Because "We can do all things through Him that gives us strength"

Growing up I was told a lot "oh , you can't play with us because your a girl" and "you'll never be as smart as me ", "you'll never be able to do what I can do " And you know what I believed them. I let them tell me all these things that I can't do and I started believing that I won't be able to that because I'm not good enough.

But that actually just breaks God's heart. For He created us with our own worth in His image . And now we're letting what others say define our worth . When the only one who's opinion actually matters is God's. Because as long as God's happy with us nothing else matters what anyone else says about you .

So what I'm trying to say today is don't let others define what you can and cannot do , be it sports or academically . Because you can do all things through Him who gives you the strength. And as long as you remember that you'll never forget your worth .
