In chapter 15 of 2 Kings it talks about all the rulers over Israel and how some of them were good rulers ruling which was right in the sight of the Lord and other doing evil in the sight of the Lord.
Some of the Israelites must've wondered WHY God would let those rulers rule over their kingdom if He knew they were doing wrong. I think a lot of the times when something goes wrong in our lives the devil is the first one we blame , you can admit it cause I do it to. But a lot of the times we give the devil TOO much credit for what sometimes was God's doing.
The imperfections of true believers are very different from the allowed wickedness of ungodly men. Such is HUMAN nature, such are OUR hearts if left to THEMSELVES ; deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Now that seems like a difficult thing to comprehend but let me put it this way .
We have REASON to be THANKFUL for the restraints, for being kept OUT of temptation and should beg God to RENEW a RIGHT spirit within us. A lot of the time some of the trails we go through ARE from God. In a way it's preparing us for something better or TESTING us whether it's our faith in Him or just simply ... us as His Children. But I promise you ; God will NEVER bring you to it, if he wasn't planning on bringing you THROUGH it. He's with you EVERY step of the way wherever you go.
So let's not always give the enemy so much credit for what God is trying to change in our lives. Rather let's pray that God will renew the right spirit within each and every one of us.
