The samurai family who owned the estate where the Shinsengumi established their first headquarters. The estate was located in the Mibu area.

The alias used by Hajime Saito while guarding Miura during the Tenma Inn Incident.
Yase
Where Princess Sen lives. It is still called Yase today.
Yase Clan
Demon Clan of which Princess Sen is the head.
Yase Villiage
A village hidden by Princess Sen's clan. Its protection from the demon's barrier bars any human from entering.
Yatsuna's Demonslayer
If it does indeed exist, it was a sword forged by the master sith Yasutsuna during the Heian Period. Legend says that it killed Shuntendoji, the ruler of all demons.
Yodo Castle
A castle in the Yodo Domain. It is built at the confluence of the Kizu, Katsura, and Uji Rivers.
Yodo Domain
The domain governed by the Inaba clan. During the Bakumatsu Period, their daimyo was of the shogun's Executive Ministers, but was not around during the Battle of Tobo-Fushimi.
Yodo Yamauchi
15th-generation feudal lord of the Tosa Domain. He oppressed the Tosa Loyalist Party and pushed for support of the Shogun.
Yoiyama
A festival that takes place before the main Gion festival.
Yorimitsu Minamoto
A general from the Heian Period. He is the hero in serval folktales, such as the defeat of Shutendoji at Oeyama and the destruction of the Tsuchigumo.
Yoshinobu Hitotsubashi
Born into the Mito Tokugawa clan, he was adopted into the Hitotsubashi house--one of the other Three Houses--to increase, his chances to be 15th shogun. He held the position of Guardian prior to becoming shogun.
Yoshitsune Minamoto
A general from the late Heian Period. He is best known for defeating the Taira clan at the battles of Itchinotani and Yashima, then destorying them at the Battle of Dannoura during the Genpei War.
Yoshiwara
An authorized, self-contained, red-light district in Edo where the licensed brothels can be found.
Yugeki Unit
A unit made up of men from the shogunate's martial arts dojo and his vassals. They carried firearms.
Yukimura Infirmary
The protagonist's home. It is a center of hospital and infirmary care established by Kodo Tukimura in Edo.
Yukimura Sanada
A general from the Warring States period. His tactical skills contributed greatly to the Osaka defense during the Siege of Osaka, although the castle ultimately fell.
