The princes challenge

"If i don't get to Lonsbrough im screwed...what don't you understand about that?" I shouted to the train man who refused to let me on the Lonsbrough train.

"Sorry love but you haven't got enough!"

"How much am i short?" i asked.

"at least 38 euros" i stood, with my mouth wide open.

"Where is a girl my age supposed to get that kind of money. Im 18 for god sake"

"Well i get off work in half hour, i could think of a way to get you the money" he said with a wink.

"I said im screwed if i don't get to Lonsbrough, but i arnt that desperate pal." i snatched the money from his hands and walked away.

"Psst...hey you...if you want to get to Lonsbrough go to this address. He'll help you" i looked around and found an old woman with a note in her hand. I took it from her and looked at the address.

"Thank yo- and shes gone...what a creepy old woman" i looked around to see if i could spot her and saw no one. I made my way to the given address and heard a scream from inside. A young girl ran out into my arms, knocking me over.

"Hey watch it..." i shouted.

"don't go in there, hes a monster, he isn't human"

I laughed and walked inside. Nothing scares me that easy.

"see...no one can handle me, how am i supposed to find a wife when i have a face like this?"

"someone will see beneath the mask and appreciate you Sir" I followed the two voices and peeped around the corner. Well...they looked human. One had a mask in his hand and his back was facing away from me. The other sounded Persian and was tanned.

"Nadir...we may as well give up and just return to Lonsbrough" LONSBROUGH!

"Hello, excuse me" I walked around to the men and the man with the mask quickly placed it on his face.

"Hello dear. Can we help?" The man known as Nadir asked.

"i was told to come to you about passage to Lonsbrough"

"arr...she got the word out. Very good. Please take a seat" Nadir offered me a seat and i sat across from the man with the mask. He was studying me with his eyes.

"ok so to come to Lonsbrough you have to do something you may not be up to...a challenge if you will."

"ok?"

"Nadir...ill ask the questions this time. I want you to answer with one word only, unless i say otherwise"

"fire away" i smirked.

"what do you want from me?"

"passage"

"to?"

"Lonsbrough"

"why?"

"running"

"Danger from?"

"private!"

"Would you ever consider a monster as a husband?"

"depends"

"on?"

"very well. Whats your name?"

"Odette"

These questions went on for many more minutes until Nadir spoke up. Erik and Nadir had a quiet talk and then both turned to me.

"what do you know about been a royal?"

"not a lot, i know its hard work!"

"didn't i say one worded answers?"

"What are you...a prince?" I asked half joking not expecting him to answer with yes!

"yes why do you ask?" I stopped for a minute then decided to just carry on with my comfident persona.

"you order people around like a prince."

"Should i take that as a compliment?" No ya idiot.

"no"

"why not?"

"because"

"because what?" he started to get agitated.

"you"

"you what?"

"Nadir make her stop" I laughed quietly as Nadir smirked.

"shes doing as you asked sir. shes answering with one word." I smirked, glad someone knew what was i was doing!

"You're a troubled one arnt you?"

"Thank you"

"So you would be with a monster...you would take him for a husband?"

"As i said before it depends on personality" I replied.

"And what do you think of me?" He asked.

"Apart from the mask...you're ok. Why would you need a wife?"

"You wont appreciate the answer" Nadir stated

"Let me guess. You're a prince...you need a wife..." i went through it outloud till i came to the answer. "So you want and need an heir"

"Yes of course...you would be paid greatly"

"How greatly?" I asked. Why was i actually considering this!

"Enough to last you three life times. Plus you would live in Lonsbrough in the Palace with our child...and me...should you want me" I looked at the man considering my choices.

"I will marry you...on one condition" he looked at Nadir and then me and then nodded.

"Fine"

From that moment on Erik revealed his true self and Oddette fell completely in love with the man she grew to know. They ended up falling into a happy marriage and had 5 children. Three boys and two girls who were beautiful and handsome and the whole kingdom loved each of them.

Oddette and Erik ,despite their differences, fell so deeply for each other that they were unbreakable. Erik had never felt more love towards anyone than he did Oddette and Oddette shared these feelings. They were extremely happy and nothing or no one could ever tear them apart.
Oddette fit right in and Nadir quickly taught her everything he knew about been royal with Eriks assistance...as he never wanted to leave Oddettes side. It would of taken a lot less time had the two been able to keep their hands off each other. But who cares about the past. We're here for the now. And right now they couldnt be happier.
