hmm. it's almost been five minutes and lucy hasn't come back yet.

i continued copying notes, not thinking much about lucy. maybe she always takes a long time in the bathroom.

a few moments later, she came in. she seemed a very happy and was grinning. i couldn't pinpoint why.

she walked past me and i (secretly) slipped a note into her back pocket (somehow) without her noticing.

when she sat down, she put her arms on the desk and continued grinning.

a minute later, i heard her shifting in between her seat. in my peripheral vision, i could see her reading the note i gave.

she read it with her head hung low and a few moments after, she folded the paper back, crumpled it and put it in her pocket. she seemed uniterested with what i wrote.

i felt sad after that.

-

i saw her eating her lunch alone in the classroom which made wonder if she had friends or not.

i barged in and she seemed not to notice because she had her earpods in.

i sat on the chair in front of her and turned to look at her eating. she still didn't notice me.

i took a piece of paper from the desk's owner (she left her notebook) and wrote, enjoying your lunch alone? before sliding it beside her phone.

she noticed it and looked up. i grinned. she was so cute when her mouth was full.

she blushed before turning away to continue chewing and swallowing her food.

"w-what do you want?" she stuttered before taking her water bottle and drinking from it.

"i saw you eating alone. do you have friends?" i asked, she seemed shocked.

she just shook her head no.

"well then," i said, "want to be my friend? if we weren't in the first place."

she looked up like she heard me say something that's really weird and was like, 'the fuck bitch?'

"uhh, okay. sure." she replied.

i smiled and realized what she said. my jaw dropped.

"r-really?" i managed to choke out, surprised at the fact she actually agreed to be my friend.

"well, if you don't want us to be friends, it's fine by me-"

i cut her off, "no! let's be friends!"

she smiled and giggled a little bit.

i swear my heart jumped with joy when she did.

i grinned at her and she grinned back.

-

"what was that note by the way?" she suddenly asked, getting ny attention.

"what? it was cool." i replied, defending myself.

"if you think lame pick-up lines are cool, then yeah, you were super cool." she said, putting emphasis on super cool, clearly being sarcastic.

i just laughed.

fifteen minutes later, afternoon classes started and i went back to my seat.

our history professor came in, holding some papers and his laptop.

he plugged the hdmi cord of the tv to the laptop and started giving us handouts that had the title, World History.

well, this was going to be a boring discussion.

-

classes ended a while ago and i was happy. i was really tired and i wanted to go home but i wanted to bid goodbye to lucy.

i tried finding her but when i did, i wish i just left without saying goodbye.

lucy was with brian, they were holding hands and laughed together.

and that scene broke my heart.
