"bye lucy!"

"bye natsu. thanks for everything." she said, smiling while walking towards her front door.

as soon as she entered her house, i made my way home. it was almost 9 pm, but taking lucy home was a priority.

i reached home about 20 minutes later, and it was almost 10 in the evening.

i went to my room, making my steps light as to not wake up anybody.

reaching my room, i changed out of the shirt into a black tank top and went to bed.

ugh, mornings are the worst.

i woke up looking at my clock which read, 1:00 PM.

nevermind, afternoons are the worst.

i groaned and russled around bed before getting up to eat 'breakfast'.

i got downstairs only to see my mother calling someone, worrriedly and austin nii-san on the floor, yelling, "lucille! wake up!".

i hurried down only to see lucille nee-san in the ground, getting paler each second.

just then, i heard sirens outside and some paramedics got in the house and took lucille nee-san to the hospital and austin nii-san went with them.

i went my mom, who had a really worried look on her face, and asked, "mom? what happened?"

she looked at me and grabbed me by the shoulders,

"call lucy and her dad. lucille just had a heart attack."

we all sat down on the bench except mr. heartfilia and lucy who were really worried.

just then, a doctor came out to us and called out for austin nii-san.

they went to a secluded area and what happened next surprised me.

austin nii-san fell to the floor and fear was evident in his eyes. he screamed, "no! i won't believe you! tell me your joking!"

we all looked at him and hurried to the doctor.

"doc? what happened to her?" lucy asked, worried.

the doctor sighed before saying,

"she needs a heart transplant, asap. she's stable for now but for the next few days, we can't say that."

our faces fell and lucy fell to the the floor, shocked.

mr. heartfilia began crying, and then mom and then all of us, except lucy and i.

lucy was in a trance, she ignored me everytime i tapped her, shook her, and even when i talked to her.

i let her sit on the bench i heard her say, "no. he's lying. she's fine."

then, a few tears escaped from her eyes. the tears came down like a waterfall and the next second, she buried her face into my chest and sobbed.

"shh. it's fine. she'll be fine. i promise." i said, to help her calm down.

she looked up, with red eyes and puffy cheeks.

"i hope."
