Chapter 11

Andy's POV
In class, Raven wouldn't stop fidgeting. I swear, by the end of the first lesson, Mr Bates probably thought she was drinking coffee by the bucket. It is lunch now, Felix walks up to us with an unbelievably terrible looking Raven. She is sweating and her black hair with purple highlights is spurted in all directions, her skin is paler than usual, if that is even possible, but it has a sickly greenish tone to it. We are all massively concerned.
"Wow." Sam breaths. "What on earth happened to you?!"
"I..." Raven swallows. "I don't know. Maybe I'm just nervous."
"Really?" Jake asks. "Vampires get this sick only when they are nervous? Oh, man."
"Maybe it's just a flu, you know like a cold?" I suggest.
"I wish." Raven yawns. "But vampires can't get breather sicknesses."
"And by breather you mean human?" Sam asks. Raven nods, bags under her eyes.
"Okay, okay." Felix says. "Maybe you're nervous because your family is coming."
Raven nods. "Maybe."
"But why?" Jake asks.
"Well, how would you like it if your dad was an evil bloodsucking vampire who'd turn the whole of Bremin into a 5 star restaurant?" Felix retorts.
"Oh, yeah." Jake remembers. "Count Dracula." He whistles.
"Alright." I decide. "It's Friday, and Fridays are always the best days, so let's make it. Ravens family is coming tomorrow, so I think that we should do something today, together."
Sam nods. "Ok, here's what we'll do. After school, you guys all come to my house, we'll have a BBQ, chips, cake, everything. My family will be there and so will Mia. We can all have a late lunch, then go down to the lake."
"Cool." Jake smiles.
"Sounds good." I say.
"Okay." Felix agrees. "But only if Raven is coming."
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." Raven laughs. The bell rings and we walk into class. Raven pulls Sam aside in the corridor.
"Thank you Sam." She says. "For everything, you're like a brother to me."
"Your welcome, Raveen." He grins. She punches his shoulder playfully and we all go into class together.
