Chapter 14
New POV!!!

Vlad's POV
We all sit at the large wooden table in silence. Dad has gone out somewhere. I think of Raven when we were younger, she was always a curious person in a world of darkness. Now, as I look at her sitting next to Felix, it's like the darkness inside her heart has vanished and replacing it, is love.
"So..." Her voice slices the silence like a knife. "What has been happening?"
"Well, nothing much." I say with a bit of sadness, but I'm glad the awkward silence has gone. "Garside Grange is going good, Jono and his mum came back, but that's all sorted now. We've started up a Re-Vamp group, continuing the school as well, there's a girl called Erin who came to join us and she's a breather but a good friend, but still, it's nothing like Stokley."
Raven purses her lips. "Vlad, look. I know your the chosen one and all that, but admit it. You miss Stokley."
I nod, giving in. "I had a life there, Raven. We both did. No one expected anything from me, apart from dad, but that's different."
"I miss it too." She sighs. "Anyway, I've got something to tell you too." She looks at the 4 boys, who nod. "Okay." She starts. "It all began quite a few weeks ago, 2 weeks before I arrived."
She tells me everything, from the boys getting lost, the parallel world, Pheobes, the demon, to the elements and magic. The boys come in from time to time, adding extra details and occasionally correcting Raven. When they're done explaining, I take a moment to process it all.
"Okay." I swallow. "Let me get this straight. Felix, Sam, Jake and Andy, you got lost, Felix accidentally cast a spell that transported you to a parallel world where they were never born. Then you discovered the elements and got a Talisman from Pheobe to protect you from a restoring demon who wants to kill you for messing with the laws of magic. You then managed to return here where you found out you have powers to control your elements and when you've mastered them, you can control a second one. Then you found my sister, discovered she is the remaining elements also a vampire. But now the restoring demon is really Pheobe's sister Alice and she came to this world to destroy you all."
They nod in approval. "You're a fast learner, I'll give you that." Sam laughs. We look at him and his smile disappears. "Okay, okay, not funny, I get it."
"Bravo, bravo." Dad emerges from the shadows, apparently he has been here all along. "What an adventure."
"We better get going." Jake stands up. "Come on, I'll walk you out." I say, the 4 boys follow me out, knowing this is going to be a daughter and father conversation they probably don't want to be apart of.
We wait outside in the cold. The others can't hear, but I listen to every word.
"You knew?!" Raven is really upset. "How did you know?!"
"Well." Dad explains. "Your mother was a vampire with great powers. She was a necromancer, and I knew you'd be one too."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Ravens almost crying.
"I wanted to protect you." Dad says. "I didn't want you to feel like you didn't belong."
Raven breaths in and out, in and out.
"Okay." I say to the 4 boys. "They're done."
"How can you tell?" Sam asks curiously.
"Ummm, it's a vampire thing." I shake it off.
"Oh, cool." Jake says.
We walk back inside where Raven is sitting on the couch, her face in her hands. When she sees us she walks to me and hugs me tightly. I hug her back.
"Where's dad?" I ask.
"Asleep." She replies.
"I better go too. Everything will be alright, okay? I promise." I walk up the stairs and into my room. Zoltan, my wolf is in the corner fast asleep. Deciding not to wake him, I get into my coffin and fall asleep right away. I have nightmares as usual, but this time they do not wake me up.
