Chapter 17

Sam's POV
Jake lays on the red antique couch of Ravens bedroom, we are all crowded around him.
"Move." Raven shoves through us with a wet cloth and a bottle filled with a gooey green substance. She kneels at Jakes side, placing the cloth on his forehead and then opening his mouth. She takes a silver teaspoon, dips it in the jar and then carefully forces it into Jakes mouth. Yuck.
Around 2 hours ago, Raven had rushed into the room with Jake in her arms. He looked like he was having some kind of fit. Half an hour later he had calmed down, but he is still unconscious. Vlad and the Count had left maybe an hour or so ago, said something about important business in England. Raven is tough, but not even she could hide the emotions of this situation. She will barley talk to any of us now, not even Felix.
Jake coughs and opens his eyes. Raven wipes his mouth and takes the cloth off his head.
"What was that stuff?!" Jake gags.
"Ancient Transylvanian medicine." Raven stands up. "Does the trick every time."
"Well, sure tastes ancient." Jake frowns.
Raven sighs. "You suffered a fit, a fever, and you were unconscious for about 2 hours." She says.
Jake slumps back down onto the sofa. "I saw things. The door, the terrible door, Pheobe, Alice, and......"
"And?!" Andy asks desperately.
"And... Oscar." Jake frowns, "But... walking Oscar."
"What?!" Felix's eyes open wide. "That Oscar is in the parallel world. The one where we don't exist, remember?"
Andy nods. "What if it's all connected in another way?"
"I don't know." I shug.
"Oh, boys..." Raven rolls her eyes.
"What?!" We all protest, apart from Jake, who is shivering and looking as pale as Raven.
"Well, it's obvious, isn't it?" She looks at us but we all stare back at her blankly. She sighs. "Okay, if Jake saw a door, and people from this world, and people from the parallel world, that means?"
"Alice is planning to open a portal to both worlds!" Felix exclaims. We are all shocked.
"Yep." Raven says.
"But why?" I ask.
"Because." Jake speaks up and suddenly all eyes are on him. "She wants Oscar. Both Oscars."
We all look at Felix. "Felix," Raven says slowly. "Where's Oscar?"
Felix swallows hard. "At home, alone."
And almost instantly, we are all running down the streets of Bremin to Felix's house.

Also, I thought I was getting away from the original storyline too much, so, I sent Raven's family home and you won't be hearing from them again.
I have the ending all planned out and this book will finish in just a few long chapters!
