Chapter 9

Felix's POV
I can not believe what I am hearing. The girl I thought I knew is really the daughter of THE Count Dracula, the one who is in all the books, and not only that, but she is a flipping vampire! How could I miss all this when it was right here in front of me for the past 2 weeks?!
"I am so sorry I did not tell you." Raven has tears in her eyes. "I know I should have, I just did not know whether to trust you or, or..."
"It's alright." I hug her. "I understand."

We appear at the 'training shed' it is now around 4:00 in the afternoon. The guys are waiting for us and by their expression, I can tell we're late. Before we are in hearing distance, Raven grips my hand tightly.
"You can not tell them." She whispers urgently. "Not them, not anyone, you promise?"
"I promise."
We walk up to them. "Where have you guys been?!" Sam asks us.
"We, um, we got sidetracked." I quickly make up an excuse.
"Oh, really now?" Sam raises his eyebrows.
"You wanted us here, did you not?" Raven retorts. "We are here now. Let us not waist anymore time."
Sam has nothing else to say to that as Raven grins, satisfied.
"But..." I venture. "We did manage to find something out."
"Well, what is it?" Andy presses.
"Raven is the remaining elements, fear, shadow and time."
"I knew it!" Andy exclaims.
"Oh joy." Felix rolls his eyes.
"No, really!" Andy says. "It's the only logical explanation for Raven being here as soon as we discover the other elements. It has to be!"
"Yeah, whatever dude." Sam says to Andy, then turns to the rest of us. "Now we've figured that out, can we please get something to eat? I'm starving."
Raven smiles, pulling out some sandwiches from her black studded shoulder bag.
"Awesome!" Sam runs forward and takes a sandwich. "Thanks Raveen." Raven rolls her eyes but doesn't bother to correct Sam.
After sandwiches, Raven had got out some cans of coke and handed them round. Then, we start training.

( 2 hours later )
"Yes!" Yells Sam, "I've got it! Look, I've finally got it!" We all gather round Sam and watch him float a branch, using the winds.
"Check it out!" Yells Jake after a while. He creates a mini earthquake. Then, moments later, Andy is able to control small amounts of water at will.
"What about Raven." Jake whispers to me. Raven is sitting down on a rock, looking straight ahead, her eyes completely white.
"What is she doing?!" Sam walks over to us.
"I think she's got the fear part of it." Andy says. "She's freaking me out."
"No," I say. "I don't think..." Just then, a shadowy fog surrounds the clearing. When it clears, Raven is standing right in front of us, making Sam jump back in surprise.
"Shadow." Raven says.
"Well. Now we have the basics of the first elements." I say. "Next up: Level 2."
We train the rest of the day, more determined than ever. I start to trust the guys more and me and Raven are closer now than we have ever been, maybe that old saying is true after all: Secrets that are told and kept between two individuals make a special type of bond that will in time be almost impossible to break.

Hi!
Okay, that chapter was slack, I know.
I'm running out of ideas so if you could suggest some that would be great and I will dedicate the chapter to you!
Listening to the incredible 'All We Ever Wanted Was Everything' by Bauhaus.
