Chapter 4, here it is!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jake's POV
I walk into school with a really good feeling. All my friends surround Sam and I as we walk into class, asking a hundred million questions. We smile at them and answer them as quickly as possible before sitting down in our seats at the back of the classroom. Andy is sitting at the front, next to Mike, and Felix is sitting in the middle next to Ellen. But something is wrong, I have never seen Ellen so shy before, and they aren't looking at each other.
"Right then," our teacher, Mr. Bates says. "First things first, I'd like to welcome back Andy, Sam, Jake and Felix, and hope that they are well and all ready to start school on a new page as of today."
Everyone claps as Mr. Bates starts speaking again. "Now, open your books to page 394, and study the properties of the elements, I'm sure that you will all be glad to hear, you'll be doing a science test next week, on the elements." Everyone groans.
About 2 and a half hours later, the bell rings saving us from this terrible class. We go out to recess and meet up with Andy. Felix comes a minute later, with Ellen at his side.
"So, how do ya like the new test?" Sam asks us, "Should be interesting, we can learn way more about the elements." Andy replies.
"Yeah, but it's still a test, you know, the boring inescapable things you have to do at school." I say sarcastically.
"What do you think Felix?" Asks Andy, "Study at lunch?"
"Oh, ummmm, yeah..." Says Felix, cautiously looking at Ellen.
"Ok then," I say slowly. "See you losers at lunch." I run off to play basketball with Trent and the others, glad to get away from the awkwardness of that conversation.
( 3 hours later... )
Finally, lunch. I make my way to the library, where I meet Sam and Felix. But no Andy. None of us have any idea where he is or how long he will be, so we start studding without him.
"Wait a minute." Sam says after a few minutes. "I thought there were only five elements, water, fire, earth, air and spirit. How come there are more on this website?"
"It is said," Felix answers. "That if one person learns to master their element to the very extent, until there is no more to know, that person will be able to connect with another element revolving around their first one. So, fire would be light, water would be ice, earth would be nature- flora and fauna- air would be electricity and spirit would be poison."
"But there are three more here." Sam replies. "Fear, shadow and time. Where do they fit in?"
"It's believed that all the elements need to be balanced, held together." Felix explains. "Spirit is the element that binds it all up and makes it stronger, but if it isn't meant to be, spirit turns to poison crushing everything. But there are some that would say the elements need to be kept in order. With that, 2 new elements were created, fear and shadow being the same thing, and time. Therefore, these are the elements that keep our world and the very fabric of reality together."
"Wow." I say. "But who is it? I mean, if Oscar is spirit and poison, and we are the other elements, then who is fear, shadow and time?"
Felix shakes his head, "I don't know but I have a feeling they are going to show their faces pretty soon."
At that moment, Andy walks in with Ellen. Ellen is holding a gold necklace with what looks like 2 cherries on it. She is smiling sadly and Andy is too.
"What's wrong?" Felix stands up.
"Um," Ellen says quietly. "Felix, can I talk to you for a minute, in private?" Felix nods and walks over behind a book shelf towards the back of the library with Ellen. Uh-oh, I think, something is definantly wrong.
"So..." Sam nudges Andy. "What's going on?"
"Well," Andy starts. "It all started in the parallel world, where the other Ellen gave me her necklace. She said to show it to 'our version' of Ellen, so I did. Now what's happening is that Ellen isn't a goth anymore, she said she's going to stop hanging out with Felix as well and 'realise her full potential' whatever that means. I didn't know she would actually do that though, I mean, she is doing it for me... That's the second weirdest thing that has ever happened to me."
"Man," Sam puts his arm around Andy's shoulder and nods. "You did the right thing."
We can hear yelling as Ellen and Felix come back arguing. "Go." I say to Andy, he stands up and leaves with Ellen, mouthing 'sorry' to Felix, who grabs his bag and leaves to.
"So what do ya thinks gonna happen?" Sam asks me.
"I don't know." I say, "Let's just leave it for now and whatever happens happens." Sam agrees as we walk outside.
*******************************
It has been 4 days since the discussion with Ellen and things have never been more awkward. Ellen and Felix are not talking to each other and Ellen is wearing the same style she was in the parallel world. The test has past, of course Andy and Felix got an A+ and Sam got a B, I got a B+. Felix is quieter than usual, the only time he cheers up is when he gets to go home. What does he do when he finally gets home? I got no idea. We try to cheer him up but it's no use, he seems to be mortal enemies with Ellen and Andy. I am starting to think there is no hope for saving Felix from his dark, miserable self, that we will never see the old Felix again.
