The next day we all woke up a bit sad as it was our last few hours until we had to leave. Slowly we all started getting up and getting dressed. Last night we all decided to wear the black NCS tops, that we were all given before the trip. After getting dressed we headed down for breakfast. Most people were already there, unsurprisingly seeing as us girls took our time to get ready.
We sat in the corner of the room eating either cereal or toast in silence. I felt very knackered and was sure the girls did too. When the boys eventually joined us, having finished eating, their upbeat vibe woke us up."Not having a good morning?" Jed asked.
"We're just tired babe," Jade said resting her head on the table.
"You can sleep on the coach, we've got a five-hour journey," Jed said smiling at her.
"Speaking of which," Harris added, "have you lot packed?"
"I guess so," Jesy shrugged.
"I mean I didn't really unpack," I laughed, causing the girls to laugh with me and agree.
"Really?" Harris asked surprised. "Our shit is all over the place, in our room. Luckily us four had our own room so we'll just pack random shit and I guess sort it out at home."
"Or you could just not be lazy and go do it now," Jesy suggested.
"Yeah come on," Leigh said pulling Andre to his feet. "We'll help."
"We will?" Jade said lifting her head up and squinting. Leigh nodded pulling Jade up too.
"They've given us an extra hour for packing so we may as well help," Leigh shrugged apparently forgetting she was tired. To say I was shocked when we entered their room was an understatement. It was an absolute tip! Their clothes were everywhere, shoes were on the top of their beds, spray cans on the floor and there was even a melted cornetto in the corner of the room."You boys are disgusting!" I groaned.
"How can you even sleep in here?" Jesy questioned.
"It's not that bad," Harris said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's a disgrace," Leigh said closing the door. Using a tissue, she picked up the melted cornetto cone, "babe seriously?"
"Don't look at me," Andre said raising his hands in surrender, "that one was Alex's."
I raised my eyebrows in surprise. Jed and Alex clearly had the corner bunk, as it was cleaner than the rest of the room, except the clothes that were piled up on the ends of each of their beds. I knew Alex wasn't really a messy person. I looked at him questioningly causing his cheeks to turn red ad he avoided my gaze.
"Oh yeah, I remember, Alex threw it across the room two nights ago, when he found out about... what happened with you," Jed said carefully earning a punch from Alex.
"Bro, what the hell?" Alex said annoyed as Jed smirked and everyone else laughed.
"Why would you do that?" I asked him in a low voice as everyone else began to sort through the clothes and pick up the shoes.
"I don't know," he said shyly, "I panicked and next thing you know the cornetto ended up over there. I got scared, I felt like it was my fault and I was already so angry..." I cut him off by putting my hand on his shoulder and kissing his cheek.
"We got over that part already," I said smiling at him."Are all of these clothes yours?" I asked him pointing to the pile. He nodded and then I asked, "So all your stuff is basically on and under this bed?"
"Yeah," he replied pulling his shoes out from under the bed, "I may be lazy and messy but I do like knowing exactly where my things are."
He pulled out his suitcase from under the bed and opened it. I helped him put his things away and laughed at how useless he was with actually getting everything to fit.
"Not like that!" I told him for the tenth time.
"I made it fit before," Alex defended.
"If you carry that on, I'm pretty sure the case is going to break," I smirked.
"Okay then," he said, "Show me."
I shook my head and smiled. Rearranging the way he put his shoes in and putting his other toiletries on top. He carried on folding his tops and trousers and putting them in too. Ten minutes went by and we were done. He sat on his bed and I sat on his suitcase facing him.We watched Jesy and Leigh try to help Harris and Andre pack their things. It was hilarious. Harris kept doing silly things, which made everyone else laugh. Andre slipped over some water that was spilt underneath one of the suitcases. Jed laughed so hard that he ended up falling off of the top bunk. I honestly thought that the room was filthier than it was when we started.
After an agonising 50 minutes, the room was somewhat clean. Of course the bin was overflowing, no one wanted to touch the melted cornetto let alone clean it. The floor still had spilt water everywhere, but the suitcases were now packed and miraculously they all had their own clothes.
The girls and I went back into our room to get out suitcases so we could pull them out on the gravel outside. Some people were already there, and others were still in their rooms. Majority of the suitcases outside belonged to the boys who were now round the back having a kick around as we waited for the bus. Us girls started to take some group pictures outside.
Once everyone was outside, the boys were led back to the front as everyone else carried on taking pictures.
"Perrie!" Danielle yelled, "Come join the group!" I ran over to the rest of Perham who were ready to take a couple of group shots. Alex was stood next to Danielle trying to get me to laugh in the pictures. Which he succeeded in doing. Stupid boy."If those pictures didn't come out nice, I'm going to be mad," I told him, causing him to burst out laughing. I narrowed my eyes to emphasise my seriousness. "I'm not joking!"
"Lighten up," he shrugged smiling cutely at me. I rolled my eyes and smiled.
"Alex!" Caley called sweetly, walking towards us swaying her hips a little more than necessary. "Come take some group shots with us." She moved to link arms with him, but Jade beat him to it.
"Come on Alex," she said in a London accent, as she grabbed his arm and walked towards their group. "I'll bring your boyfriend back when our team is done Pez." I smirked at her and was about to walk away when Caley stood in front of me."Can I help you?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her.
"You really think he's going to last with you don't you," she laughed. "Here's the deal, Alex and you will never truly last. You may have been his best friend before, but now when he gets bored of you, he'll dump you just like that and not look back. He doesn't do lasting relationships."
"Listen..." I said getting mad, but she cut me off,
"No you listen, you have always been a nobody and you will always be. Deep down Alex really loves me, why do you think he keeps coming back to me? No matter how many times we break up and date others, he always comes back to me. What in that tiny brain of yours makes you think you're going to be different?" I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out.
"That's what I thought," she smirked.
"Let me tell you what I think," Jesy spat. "The only reason Alex came back to you in the past is because you're a desperate twat, who always throws herself at him. You're always available and mark my words love, that is the ONLY reason he comes anywhere near you." Caley takes a step back looking intimidated.
"Well if I'm so available, then I guess the only reason he's with her is because she's a challenge. Once she stops holding back, Alex will run as fast as he can," she sneered and then sped away before I could reply."What happened? Jade said looking at my stunned face.
"That cow over there, overstepping her boundaries," Jesy replied still looking mad, "AGAIN!"
"Seriously Alex," Jade sighed, "I know it's not your fault but what kinds of girls have you dated?"
"Over and over again," I whispered still looking into the distance where Caley disappeared.
"What?" Alex asked catching on to what I said.
"Nothing," I said shaking my head. He studied me carefully and then let it slide.--------------------------
Eventually the bus rolled up and after we put our suitcases in the bottom, we got in and sat in the same spaces we were in when we came. Once all the commotion died down, we were off. We all chatted amongst each other for a while but soon we started to get tired.
"What was it you said back there?" Alex asked after a few minutes of silence.
"I... I don't... what..." I mumbled.
"Come on Pezza, don't lie to me," he said.
"You know what I said," I sighed.
"Yeah I do, but I don't know why you said it," he said, his eyes searching mine.
"Caley," I said, " she got in my head."
"What did she say?" Alex said sounding frustrated.
"Just some crap about how you don't stay in relationships and that you always go back to her."
"Which is complete rubbish, isn't it?" Alex asked. When I didn't say anything, he sighed and shook his head. "Are you really going to let her come between us?"
"Of course not," I replied, "but when she said it, it did make me wonder why you went back to her."
"Honestly babe, I don't know," Alex said resting his head on my shoulder, "but I promise you I won't leave you, I'm not like that anymore."
"I'm not asking because I don't trust you," I told him kissing the side of his head and then leaning my head on his, "What she said just made me wonder."
"For what it's worth," he said as he nodded off, "I don't think I could ever be with anyone else, ever again that's not you."He linked his fingers with mine as we both nodded off, until we arrived home.
