Unbeknown to us, the wave leader did clock us and decided to shut down the entire wave. We all got a lengthy email about our 'outrageous' behaviour and how it would be unprofessional for him to not punish us accordingly. So he cancelled the rest of the residential. Typical.
In some ways I was happy about it because it meant that I wouldn't have to see what's-her-face and her bum-chums. Not to mention the other what's-his-face. But I was also sad that I wouldn't see the rest of Perham. I grew very attached to Aaron, Michelle, Danny and the twins. Even though it was partly my own fault for fighting against 'the devil' I couldn't help but blame her too like, why did she have to go butt into other people's business.

Moving on from that, I spent the remainder of the holidays reading, sleeping, eating, Netflix-ing, etc... I hung out with the girls and Alex and just enjoyed the remainder of the holidays before the new school year.
By the time the first day came around, I was refreshed and ready for year 11 and exams. Said no-one ever!

Nevertheless, at ten past eight I walked through the school entrance, down the corridor towards my locker to put my jacket away. As I closed my locker I was ambushed by a very excited Claud, who squeezed my tightly.
"Yes, yes," I laughed when he finally let me go, "I'm very excited to see you too, what have you been up to these past few weeks? Besides missing me of course."
"Literally nothing," he laughed, "just watching Netflix, which I already told you when we spoke on the phone last week."
"Oh yeah," I laughed recalling the call when I explained what we had been up to on NCS, my making up with Alex and the fight with Luke and Caley. Needless to say, he was less than impressed.
"If I ever meet this Luke, I'm going to introduce him to both of my fists," he had said.

We chatted about small things for a while and then the bell went. He walked me to my tutor room before going to his own. First lesson on the first day was in tutor, where they'd give us new planners and our new timetables. I was quite excited to see mine. I knew I would have the same teachers and the same classes, I was just curious about when I'd have each class. More specifically, which classes I had last every day.

When the second bell went, one of the students started handing out the planners, followed by the timetables. I eyed mine eagerly, noticing that it was exactly the same as last years except with a few lesson times switched. Then my tutor began her lecture about the importance of GCSE's and blah blah. I zoned out after a while because, well it's not like I hadn't heard it before.
Yes, I knew we had GCSE's but having them constantly say it as if we had the memories of a fish, was getting irritating.
32 weeks left, they said. It'll go by really fast, they said. Make sure you start your revision right now, they said. If I had a pound for every time they gave this lecture....

"What are you thinking about?" Mesut asked.
"Shush," I whispered, "I'm trying to keep my brain awake." He snickered quietly and then continued to listen to the teacher.

After another agonising 20 minutes we went to our lessons. First day back wasn't too bad. Despite not seeing Alex all day, it was pretty good. I headed to my locker to get my jacket and when I opened it a piece of paper fell out.
Biggest snake in the year. You'll get what's coming. Come again?!

"Hey Pezza," said Alex approaching me.
"Hey," I smiled, "Where have you been all day?"
"Chilling with the boys," he replied, "why, is everything okay?"
I hand him the paper. He looked at it carefully before his expression changed into to a worried one. This took me by surprise because it's not often I saw his face look so concerned but he masked it quickly and looked back at me,
"Don't worry about it," he told me, "it's probably nothing."
"Are you sure?" I asked him quietly. Pulling me into a hug, he nodded and whispered some reassurances in my ear.
"Let's go," he laughed as I pulled on my jacket, "any plans for today?"
"As if you've forgotten," I said raising my eyebrow, "we're meeting up with a couple of people from NCS seeing as we won't be having any NCS Graduation."
"Oh yeah!" he said, "I didn't forget, I totally remembered that."
"Sure you did," I mumbled.

A couple of hours later I arrived at the park with the girls, where everyone else was already waiting.
"What took you so long?" Michelle asked.
"Hey! Don't complain, we're the ones who picked up the food," Jesy replied.
"Never mind," Aaron added, "GIVE ME FOOD." Everyone burst out laughing as we laid the food on the floor.

"So everyone, how was your first day back?" Lucy smiles, biting into her pizza. At once everyone started speaking about how boring yet not too bad their first day was.
"Perrie?" Aaron said, waiting for an answer.
"Hmm," I said snapping out of my daze, "oh yeah, erm it was okay," I shrugged.
"But...?" he prompted, so I handed him the paper, I kept in my pocket. Hr read it and then sighed, "this is worrying you? I'm sure it is nothing."
"That's what Alex said," I sighed looking over at him. He was in deep conversation with Andre and two other guys. He laughed at something Andre said and when he noticed me, he gave me his jaw dropping smile.
*Insert swoon here.*
"He's right," Aaron agreed, "and think about it like this, what's the worst that can happen?"

I took a second to actually think about it. For the first time I actually thought about it. Granted I wasn't the most liked girl in the year, there were a few girls that really did not like me. But who would actually send me something like that? I took a deep breath.
Even if someone meant what they said, what's the worst that they could do? I mean we're in school when we're in school and after that I usually go straight home. What's the most they could do to me?

"Yeah you're probably right," I sighed.
"Hey gorgeous," Alex smiled sitting down next to me, draping an arm around my shoulder, as I was messing around with the filters on my snapchat.
"You having fun?" I asked and he nodded enthusiastically.
"I need to ask you something," Alex said sitting up, "I have a football game on the weekend and I wanted to ask if you want to come and watch?" he asked nervously.
"No."
"Wait, what? Why?" he asked looking taken back and a little bit disappointed.
I burst out laughing, "I'm just kidding, you should have seen your face."
He sent me an annoyed expression but I saw the amusement hidden in his eyes.
"Of course," I said when I finally stopped laughing, "I'd love to."

I laid down on the grass and Alex did the same. Both of us sighed in content and had a laugh, my fingers fiddled with the paper in my pocket.
