"Baking!" David cheered as the crowd of campers groaned. "Aww c'mon, it'll be fun!"
"David?", Max called out.
"Yes?"
"When the fuck have we ever done any baking?" Max yelled.
"Well we haven't really but it's actually y/n's activity she was signed up for.", He points to me. "And hey, language."
"Alright now let's get to the kitchen so you guys can start." Gwen rounded us up as I happily went inside to get started.
Lesley looked up to tell us all what we were making "Today you all will be presenting the judges with a lemon cookie crumble cupcake." She paused and looked at me with a devilish smile. "And you all will be working with you partners."
Nikki raised her hand. "Oh oh! What do the winning partners get?"
"They're the ones who don't have to scrub the floors with toothbrushes...", Gwen noticed no one was satisfied with that so she rolled her eyes and sighed., "...and a week off of camp activities."
Everyone suddenly went to work.
I went over to where Max was standing. It was pretty awkward until I spoke. "You know, a week off of camp activities is a really cool prize."
He looks up but still avoiding eye contact. "Let's get this done."
