Brayden's POV:

It was now Friday, the day of coaches party to kick off the season. Next Friday was going to be the first game of the season and the party was a great way to get everyone pumped. I find it kind of funny how most people were afraid of coach. I mean I guess I would too if I didn't know him outside of practice.

I make my way down the hallway and turn into Math class, only to find there was only two seats left. One being next to the weird kid in the back or by Hayden, easy decision. I walk past her, as she tilts her head up slightly giving me a small smile. I return her gesture and take my seat behind her.

The bell rang and Ryan was not here, this was bad. Ryan was always late, disrespecting teachers, and skipping. Most teachers let it slide because his dad is coach and not a bad football player himself. Well every teacher except Mr. Lomb.

Mr. Lomb doesn't take his crap, in fact last week right before Hayden came to town, he was given one last warning, and I'm afraid his dad can't save him anymore.

Mr. Lomb scans the classroom and frowns once his eyes land upon the empty seat. My fist tightens as anger builds up inside thinking of what he could possibly be doing right now. He knows how important it is for him to be here right now.

Hayden turns her head back to me with a questioning look.

"Where's Ryan, didn't you drive him to school." She whispers, eyebrows furrowed.

"Yeah he's here" I say back advoiding her stare, she probably doesn't know.

"Then why isn't he in class, this is so unlike him-"

"No its not." I say cutting her off, my jaw beginning to clench.

"What are you talking about?" Confusion painted all over her face.

I take a deep breath and sigh. Sorry buddy I'm ratting you out.

"This is a usual thing for your brother, most teachers ignore it because of your dad, but Mr. Lomb doesn't give a crap. He gave him one last chance and he blew-" All of sudden the doorknob began to turn and in came Mr. Ryan Thompson. His hair was a mess, and his shirt was stretched out slightly, even his eyes were bloodshot.

I mean fuck if you're going to skip class to go hook up with a girl at least try not to be high.

I may be his best friend, but even I was disgusted looking at him with his sly grin.

I quickly dart my head to Hayden who was now fuming, lips pursed, and arms crossed.

Oh Shit this can't be good.

"Mr. Thompson glad you could join us, care to explain why you are late...again." Mr. Lomb's voice ran cold as he spoke.

"Well you see Lomb, I was on my way to hell, I couldn't find it at first, but now I'm here." He shrugged leaning on the door frame barely able to support his own weight, the very sight of him was pathetic.

"That's it Thompson! I want you out of this school, and I want you out now!" Mr. Lomb screams at the top of his lungs, running to his drawer pulling out a form. A look of fright takes over the class room, well all except for two. Ryan, and the one and only

Hayden Thompson.

Hayden shoots up from her seat and walks straight up to Mr. Lomb.

"Sir, do you think there is anything else you can do, keep him in school-"

"Shut-up! You're just like your brother, do you want me to expel you too?" He raised his eyebrow both in question and in anger.

"Sir, I respect you and your decision but can you please hear me out?" Hayden says in a soft, but bold tone, looking him straight in the eye.

Damn she had some balls to go up there and do that, half the kids in here look like they shitted their pants, and it's not even affecting them.

"Hayden just shut up", Ryan slurs.
Hayden shoots him a deadly glare and Ryan sends one back.

Mr. Lomb slams his pen on the desk, causing everyone to flinch except for Hayden and walks up her.

"You have two minutes, go." Was all he said, and then Hayden began to talk.

"Mr. Lomb, I can see how my brother has caused disruption to your class on more than one occasion, and I apologize for his rude and disrespectful behavior, but don't you think that your being a little unfair."

"I most certainly do not! I want him out of this class, Kayden or whatever your name is, you have one minute before I throw you both out of here." Mr. Lomb steps back before sitting at his desk.

Hayden takes a deep breath before continuing on," With all due respects, I think we all know that teacher's don't make a lot of money. And the varsity football team brings in a lot of money to help fund the school, especially your paycheck." Hayden takes a deep breath before continuing on.

"And if you kick him out of the school, the football team will lose one of their star players, leading to getting destroyed, and there goes our winning streak. Therefore, we can kiss our school funds goodbye, and your paycheck will be lower along with all the other teachers in this school, and not only will you be to blame-" Hayden places her hands onto his desk before leaning forward slightly, and whispering something inaudible, causing his face to turn red, before Hayden makes her way back to her seat with a victory smile on her face.

"Uh um, well here's your slip Mr. Thompson, you're not expelled, but you are being transferred to Ms. Goldenburg's class a few rooms down. So take your slip and get out." Mr. Lomb said calmly his hand shaking a little as he handed Ryan the slip of paper, and he headed out. Everyone looked at Hayden with a confused expression but their attention immediately shifted when Mr. Lomb began to hand out packets down the aisle.

Hayden turns her head and hands me the packet, before turning back around and starts working.

Ten minutes have gone by now and most of the class was either copying each other, or talking.

I lean over my desk so I am in clear view of Hayden's paper, She had already completed the 4 page packet, figures.

Without warning I reach over and grab her paper and begin to copy the answers. I was only on page 2.

She quickly turns around and tries to retrieve her paper back but fails as I hold it in my hand away from her. She leans over my desk, reaching for it again and a waft of her perfume comes my way. She smelled amazing, and I'm not going to lie, I held the paper back farther so that she had to come closer to me, giving me another waft of her amazing scent. She was practically fully on my desk at this point but she still couldn't reach.

"Why is Ryan at the door?" She questions causing me to take my full attention off of her and to the door, not realizing it was a trap as she grabbed the paper and winked at me before turning around laughing.

A small laugh escapes my lips as I look back at my paper, I had one question left.

"Can I at least have question 30, it's my last one." She flashes me a smile before handing me her paper.

During the exchange the bell rang and Mr. Lomb stood at the door collecting the packet.

"Here." I said giving her paper back.

"No it's fine, copy what you need, I'll just pack up slowly."

A smile creeps on my face as I scribble down work and the answer along with it before handing back to Hayden. She grabs her bag, and I do the same and we hand Mr. Lomb our papers before heading out of class, walking side by side in the hallway, until a force grabs Hayden's bag jerking her back.

"Hayden you bitch!"
