Hayden:
Falling onto my bed after the bonfire I let my arms rest to my side and exhale deeply. For the first time these past two days I have felt lighter, as if things were starting to look up. Turning my head to my window I see Brayden laying on his bed, in a similar position to mine, his hair messy and typing away at his phone.
Seconds later my phone goes off to a message from the one and only.
Brayden:
Friday night 7:00 see you then
Reading it over a few times I decide to text back.
Hayden:What so I don't have a say in this, what if i'm busy?
Brayden: Nope, I finally got my shot nothings stopping me now
Hayden: cocky now r we
Brayden:What can I say u bring out the best in me
Texting Brayden had put a smile on my face, it was almost as if everything was suddenly back to normal, but it wasn't. He hurt me, and I couldn't just forgive him this easily.
Hayden: ur delusional, goodnight
Brayden: Goodnight Hayden

It was now Monday morning and so far everything had been running smoothly. My hair was left in its natural wave and I wore a black tight crewneck croptop paired with highwaisted distressed mom jeans. It was a little out of my conforst zone but I thought the outfit was overall cute.
School was rather annoying, and coach had been on our ass lately. The season was just about to start with the preseason game being only 2 days away. And just to top it off it's a home game against our rival, Arch Mcgroth. Apparently they weren't out of this world amazing, still good competition, but the rivalry comes from years ago when our school was built and took majority of their "good" players.
Volleyball here is much more intense than it was in Chicago that's for sure. Walking down the hallway on my way to Calculus posters flooded the walls and anxious students roamed in whispers about the upcoming game.
I heard my name a couple times, apparently the news got out that the "new sophomore girl landed a starting position". Most people would love the attention, a way to gain popularity. Though for me, it was just an excuse to walk faster in the hallways.
Tuesday was the same, Avery and Chloe were beyond excited for the game. Sitting down at the lunch table Chloe was aggressively staring at her playbook.
Her hair rested in a messy bun, few strands falling in front of her eyes as mumbled plays to herself dragging her pointer finger along the page.
"Chloe get a grip," Avery huffs ripping the playbook from Chloe as she sat down. Few moments later Ryan decided to join us too, placing his whole grain pizza slice two seats to my left.
"Isn't that usually you Hayden," Ryan said almost inaudibly his mouth completely full. How Avery found him attractive I will never know.
"Oh trust me I spent 3 hours last night I have the pages imbedded in my brain."
I pull out my spinach wrap, my eyes scanning around landing on the empty seat to my left, his seat.
Ryan seemed to notice and finished swallowing this time before opening his mouth, "My god, Kaitlyn must be fucking failing Medical. This is the second lunch in a row he was tutoring her."
Wow.
That fucking hurt to know he was with Kaitlyn, but what hurts the most is that there is no fucking medical test, quiz or anything.
