Hayden's POV:
Homecoming was officially this week and it was all the buzz around school. From proposals to coordinating colors for dresses it was all everyone was talking about.
"So did Chris ask you to homecoming I need all the information I can get." Chloe states sliding into the desk right next to mine. History has not yet begun and everyone was finding their seats.
"What do you mean last night?"
"When you went to his baseball game remember stupid?"
My face heats up as I remember what had happened In the car with Brayden. How his green eyes burned into my own in the purest kind of affection. The connection that was made last night scared me, for I have never been that vulnerable to anyone. His words have been spinning in my head all night.
I know you Hayden.
"Oh yeah, umm last night I just watched him play then we went out nothing special happened." I stage quickly hoping to result in no further question, but of course as if the world had been against me, she continues on.
"So something did happen?" A devilish smirked played through not only her lips but through her eyes.
I turn my attention to the board and begin to copy it down, "I'm afraid I have no idea what your talking about."

The class dragged on for what had seemed to be an eternity. When the bell rang I rushed to my locker to put my textbook away.
Out of the corner of my eyes I can see Brayden at his locker with my brother.
His hands combed through his hair in one effortless swoop, his head tilted back as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he laughed.
His head turns and his gorgeous green eyes met mine.
I quickly turned around adverting my eyes to everything and everything that did not involve him.
"Can Hayden Thompson please report outside building 12 for a surprise," the voice didn't seem like an adults, more of a student and everyone rushes outside the door, as if they already knew what was happening.
Brayden looks at me carefully, watching my every move.
What the hell was going on.
Walking out of the building I see 50-100 students crowed around someone with their phones out. Was he planning something?
Walking closer I notice it was Chris, holding a white sign designed to look like a baseball that simply stated:
Hayden, I may strike asking but will you go to HOCO with me?
For some reason in that moment I got extremely nervous, I looked around the crowd for one person but could not find them so I do what any rational person would do if a hot guy asked them to homecoming.
I walked up wrapping my arms around his neck, and lean to whisper a soft yes in his ear.
I can feel him grinning against my neck and what he does next shocks me.
Pulling away quickly he looks into my eyes and the next thing I new he smashed his lips against mine.
I stood there for a second stunned to say the least, but eventually kissed him back. Selfish thoughts crowded my mind.
I wondered what It would be like kissing Brayden.
The kids didn't last long because I pulled away heat creeping up my neck. I smile at him and turn around coming face to face with Brayden.
Hands in his pockets, an unseen ray of emotion evident in his eyes. His soft lips fell into a line, he took one of his hands out of his pocket and scratched the back of his neck before turning on his heels and walk away.

"Girls pick it up or I will make you condition, our first game is in two weeks and I will not lose!" Coach was in a furious mood today it was like he was on his man period or something.
I set back up and approached the net preparing to hit. My hand makes contact with the ball and I hit the ball straight out of the court.
"Stop. Stop. STOP. Hayden what the hell is going on with you! You are probably the best hitter on this team, whatever is getting in your head you need to push it out, or you will find yourself on the bench." His words were harsh but spoke truth, he was right I don't know what going on with me.
I set up again and readjusted my form hitting the next ball straight down.
"Thank god ok let's run it again," coach yells throwing his hands up.
——————————-
"Hey you're home pretty late," Ryan taking his gaze off the tv and puts it on me instead.
"Yeah I know coach freaked on us today so we had to do 2 hours of conditioning after practice-" I start but get cut off when the downstairs bathroom open and out walks a shirtless Brayden, with a towel in his hand shaking through his wet hair. He avoids my presence and instead walks over to the coach and sits down next to Ryan.
Ok I'm just going to pretend that didn't hurt.
"So Hayden did you get ur dress for homecoming yet?" My dad says coming out of the office.
I was about to answer but my dad cuts me off, "Oh and your club coach sent out an email, due to everyone wanting to play high school, they're taking a break so you'll have some free time now... oh and go dress shopping tomorrow."
"Ok," was the only answer I could get out until he starts talking to Ryan and Brayden about football.
My head was clouded with to many thoughts swarming through my head.
Why wasn't Brayden talking to me?
What was the emotion in his eyes back at school?
And Chris, he only likes me as a friend, right?
HOLEY CRAP IM GOING TO HOMECOMING WITH CHRIS!
