Hayden's POV:I halt in my steps as I feel someone grab my backpack, jerking me back causing me to turn around to see the culprit.
It was Ryan, what was his problem.
He stood there, eyes wide and red, brows furrowed, face turning red with rage, he was pissed.
Ryan takes another step forward towards me and quickly another arms wraps around my wrist pulling me back, and the next thing I knew Brayden was standing in front of me protectively.
Brayden puts two hands on Ryan's shoulders and pushes him toward the nearest exit, but not before looking back at me giving me a small nod.
It was only at that time the bell had wrung, signaling us to go to our next class, and that's exactly what I did.
------------------------
The rest of the day had gone by extremely show. We had a pop quiz in medical on terminology and I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened earlier. I mean Ryan is my brother, he has always been so protective over me, I guess a lot has changed in two years. I mean I used to be his best friend, someone he could always rely on and vise versa, but now I guess I'm just a bitch.
I feel my eyes begin to water as I can no longer make out the words on my English packet.
Breathe Hayden. Don't cry. Stop.
The bell rings bringing me out of my thoughts and startles me causing me to jump in my seat. I wipe the few tears that had fallen, take a deep breath and force a smile on my face as I walk out of AP English and to Gym. Gym was my favorite class, it should lift my spirits, right?
I make my way to the locker room and immediately change into my gym uniform. The locker room was a great way to get in on all the gossip, if your into that kind of stuff I guess, I usually don't pay attention to that kind of stuff though, except for today.
I slip my shirt over my head as I overhear a conversation in the distance.
"Do you see that new girl over there?"
"Isn't her name like Hannah or something?
"I think it's Hayden...but anyways her brother is Ryan Thomp-"
"OMG YOUR KIDDING!"
"I KNOW RIGHT! Anyways I heard she like saved her brother from getting kicked out of the school."
"Really? "
"Yep, and get this, after first period he lashed out at her in the hallway the guy was probably on some serious drugs, and honestly I probably would have died of embarrassment if I was her like honestly-"
My fists clench as I hear them talk, and I just can't take it anymore. I slam my locker door, and waltz my way over there.
"Like honestly what-" I say looking them straight in the eyes and their eyes widen.
"Trust me, I'm not embarrassed of what happened this morning, if anything if I were you I would be even more embarrassed because here you are talking about me, when I can hear you across the locker room."
"But-" one of the girls say but stop and just stared at the ground, and I continue on.
"And that's not even the embarrassing part, the embarrassing part is that once I finally come over here, all you can say to my face is but. Although I mean who am I to judge, for all you know my name is Hannah."
I look them over once more, as their mouths dropped before pushing past them heading out to the track.
I needed to clear my head.
I begin to jog, but my speed begins to increase as my anger grows. Before I knew it, I was full on sprinting, pushing myself harder and harder, increasing my speed more and more, until I feel my legs start to give out after the fourth lap on the track, but I couldn't stop, After another lap I begin to slow down, before coming to a stop, resting my hands on my legs, as I attempt to slow down my breathing.
"Wow," says a voice from behind.
