A limp after limp, Lucy had to bear the pain as she much as she could. No matter how numb she felt, her eyes still creaked open, expressing the radiance in her orbs.

She busted open her door as she sighed, releasing as much pain as she could. But no, it grew worse. They were fresh. The cold air flowed right through her and she couldn't do anything about it.

The door rushed to close as Lucy adjusted herself to the fresh smell of her humble apartment.

She grabbed a random t-shirt and shorts as she took off her original raggedy clothes and replaced them with  replenished clothes.

The rustling outside the window jumped her nerves as she barely tripped on her foot, tensed by the situation.

Her fingers were weak and were nearly all the way curled up as she went to throw her covers over but then her window made a slight creak, increasing her boiling blood.

The dragon slayer that would always come through the window, jumped in and eyed the blonde with misbelief. She was clueless yet, nervous.

He approached her with a tint of anger as he pinned her against the wall. He slowly pulled up her shirt which revealed the the shocking and terrifying scars, bruises and cuts that made Natsu gasp in fear as shock hit him straight in the heart.

"What were you doing?! You were out for more than two weeks!" He snapped as she turned away her gaze.

"I had to. I didn't want to be a burden to the team, I had to learn how to fight by myself for once, Natsu!" She yelped, nearly bursting into tears as she felt her heart nearly burst into flames.

"But you're not! You're more useful than you think!" He neared her more.

"If I'm so 'useful', then Aquarius would still be-......" Lucy's voice cracked, letting a sniffle out between here and there.

Her heart can nearly take it. Those memories at Tartaros were nothing but torture to her heart. It felt like fire, pushing to be let out. Her mind was stinging with pain, she wouldn't stop pushing her self, not till the end of time.

A tear streamed down her cheek, her glassy eyes still stood strong, glaring into Natsu's ones filled with worry.

She brought her finger to her cheeks, sweeping off the fresh tears as they spilled, letting every single fragment be set free.

"I-I'm sorry..." She mumbled.

"Don't. This wasn't your fault at all. We all wish to be stronger." He softened his voice and look as he brought her legs around his waist, embracing a small hug.

She glared down to her side, "It must suck for me to bring up this sort of past."

"It's just a sign of strength. Don't you worry. Even if I'm not with you, my strength is always with you." He pulled back of a golden strand of hair behind her hair, keeping it's place, clearing her face.

They glared into each other's eyes, seeing softness in both as they closed in the gap ever so slowly, a slight tilt as they pressed their lips together, embracing a small kiss that felt like fireworks. Lucy brought her arms around his neck as he brought his right hand up her hack, touching the ends of her hair. Exploding with passion as they both melted in, cherishing the moment as their air ran short and they parted ways, catching their air bubble.

"For as long as you remember me, my strength is with you. And so is my love." He gently placed his forehead against hers, feeling her touch of warmth.

Little spills of tears slowly spilled as he creaked a small smile as she returned it, cherishing her tears of happiness and of course, Aquarius.

As the moment forwarded, he placed a kiss on her nose and wiped away the tears with his thumb, placing another one on her cheek.

"I love you, Lucy Heartfilia." Natsu whispered close to her ear.

"I love you too, Natsu Dragneel." A tear fell as she nestled into the crook of his neck.

They could never feel happier. Their hearts were in love and they couldn't do anything about it. It was like destined for the two as they tightened the hug, expressing passion for one and another.

Magic was one thing, but love was another.
