In My Eyes

Hello everyone! Happy Holidays event even though it's just a bit early. But anyway, please enjoy this new one-shot!!

(Natsu and Lucy are already dating(again *sigh*) )

"Let's get one thing straight; if Lucy were to be a thing, it's beauty." Cana grinned warmly at the blonde as she pleasantly drank her booze.

Lucy shook her arms, side to side, with a broad blush caking her once fair cheeks. "Cana!"

"Oh Lucy, it's quite okay." Erza grinned corner-to-corner quite boldly.

"It's just another reason why Natsu fell in love with you!" Mira clapped her hands happily as hearts filled her eyes.

Lucy glanced to the side, "But hey, look," She then glanced at all the other girls with a loving grin. "Look at all of you! You're all so much more beautiful and pretty." She rested her head in the palm of her hand.

Silence bestowed them as they glanced at her with a confused eye than blink in question before then smiling softly. Cana calmly spoke, "Nah." 

"What do you mean, 'Nah'?!" Lucy questioned with only a tad of confusion.

Yes, at some points in her life, did Lucy consider herself quite the pretty one. But ever since life carried on, she's somehow forgotten the littlest of speeches she used to give herself about admiring her beauty. Maybe she was just too busy to. . . Or maybe it was because she had Natsu and the girls who were constantly complimenting. At this point, she felt. . . No, annoyed wasn't the word. . . She felt some-what selfish. Now, as a kind and loving person like Lucy, she only hoped to make sure to everyone knew of their own value. And not just her own.

Lucy slumped herself down as the others girls bickered about beauty, she sighed heavily, "This is gonna be a long day."

"Okay! Let's get one thing straight!" A voice echoed throughout the guild however, the girls ignored that voice as always except for one in particular who always had an ear out. "The dragon slayer group has gotta be like the best group ever, am I right?"

"Aye sir!!!"

"Natsu, get off of that."

"How about you put some clothes on, ice freak?!"

Gray begun to shout, "The moment you contain yourself but that's never gonna happen now, is it?!"

Natsu scoffed as he crossed his arms, "Um yeah! Just not around you!"

A loud creak caught the people's attention as Natsu's eyes widened.

He's done it again.

And once the creaking got louder, the fence Natsu was once standing on collapsed and fell straight down from the second floor. If only he wasn't so heated up about the whole argument.

"Natsu! Seriously? I was in the middle of a very important discussion!" Erza snapped, receiving several apologies and guilt-captured facial expressions.

"Natsu pushed the rubble off himself, "Wha- Why me?! Gray was all like "dragon slayer's are just a group" and "I'm so icy, I'm too cool for dragon slayer's"" Natsu mocked Gray with a silly strut and accent.

"I do not sound like that!" Gray snapped, making an ice anvil over Natsu's head.

Natsu then threw a fit from half-way across the guild, "Yes you do! You're always so whiny!"

"Ah~! Juvia doesn't agree with that! Gray-Sana'a voice is very angelic to Juvia!" Juvia cooed about her lover.

"Hey! At least someone agrees that I'm not whiny!" Gray snapped.

Erza eyed the two bicker much like little children. She sighed heavily but couldn't say she wasn't surprised. She then turned around and eyed the blonde who was still receiving several heart-warming compliments from the other girls such as Mira, Cana, Levy and a few more about her beauty. Meanwhile, Lucy tried her hardest to spin it around.

Erza grinned warmly. She didn't know what was happening, but she found it amusing very much.

As both groups carried on, Erza didn't quite hear it but it got Natsu on edge. It was when he paused and his face was painted with quite the temper. However, this was for a different reason and not just from a casual argument with Gray.

What Natsu had heard came from the girl's group which included Lucy. And it appeared he was the only one who reacted in a way like this.

The conversation was still about Lucy's pure beauty of course, however, Mira said, "Lucy, you're beauty is not like others. You are very much beautiful and pretty!"

And in response, Lucy said with the softest of a grin and a light blush, "Mira! You're describing you! I'm only a decent amount of look! I can't compare with that!" She grinned once again.

And the argument completely passed Natsu. He heated with anger and gave out an angering yell. One that nearly burnt a hole in the ceiling as Gray and Erza gave a concerned look. Natsu panted heavily as anger painted him and then finally, he let out another yell that drew most of the guild's attention.

"LUCY HEARTFILIA,"

The blonde and the other girl then turned around in confusion as another broad blush painted Lucy's cheeks, wondering of what he could be on about now.

"WHAT DID MY EARS JUST HEAR?!" He eyed sternly at her with the smallest of a blush caking his cheeks. "YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND BLESSED WOMAN IN THE WORLD. YOU ARE THE PRETTIEST THING ON THIS PLANET AND NO ONE, NOT EVEN YOU, COULD TELL ME OTHERWISE. SO, IF I HEAR YOU CALL YOURSELF DECENT OR NOT PRETTY ONE MORE TIME, I WILL TAKE YOU HOME AND GIVE YOU KISSES AND HUGS OF LOVE. ACTUALLY, I MAY JUST DO IT EITHER WAY. POINT IS; YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, LUCY. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL CAN BE IN MY OWN EYES."

For one small second, silence filled the guild before Natsu spoke again as he noticed Lucy's flushed face, "THAT'S IT!" And now, the smallest of "awe's" and little adorable coos filled the air as Natsu launched himself over to Lucy and hugged her from behind tightly and lovingly as she hid her face in embarrassment with her two hands.

"Stop it~! You're embarrassing me!"

Natsu grinned as he hugged her, "It was worth it though!"

And from there, the small group of girls eyed the couple with compassion before leaving them alone. And from there, even though Lucy tried her best to hide her face from its bold, pink blush, Natsu still found a way to maneuver his way to kissing her cheeks and lips even the slightest.

And even now and then, will he compliment her from her beauty to personality. Just so she knows that in someone's eyes, they find her quite the special one.

As the day carried on, he still hug her as she finally gave in. He released her from the hug and gazed deeply into her irises as her blush still laid there.

"So what did we learn today?" Natsu grasped her hand softly.

"I'm beautiful. . ." She gazed down at her feet, still flushed with embarrassment.

And with that, Natsu softly pecked her forehead with a wide grin gracing each corner of high lips as Lucy grinned back. The blonde was now completely aware of how special she was in someone's eyes. And she'll admit, it surprised her but it also granted her the love of her life.
