Heyyyy everyone! I hope I didn't have you guys wait long for this chapter(even though you guys were probably hooked on other stories😂) anyway, please enjoy this one!!

(Natsu and Lucy are not already dating)

It was the time the idiotic fire mage had managed to pop a leak on such a simple mission which had quickly led to a flood. Him and his blonde best friend were only trying to help the people while she led them safety and fought back the monsters headed towards them. However, one punch in the wrong place, the only thing they saw was water. Not to mention, even less luck since it was just the two of them. She had known they should've at least brought Happy however, he was too hooked on Fish Season. And so, she let him be. Erza was off on training for to be the next guild master whilst Gray left to mend his friendship with Lyon as Juvia forced them. Which had left just Natsu and Lucy, the most passionate and the most dangerous mages left. However, many could agree they made a great team.

Lucy forcefully placed her back against the wall, seeing it was tilting over to where she could pop off the loose palette that was big enough for them to escape. Natsu stood standing to see if his magic would budge however, with his back slopped up against the door, he was weak of magic power and strength. He wasn't getting anywhere.

He groaned disappointedly to himself. Then, he looked towards his partner to where he could see the polluted water just up to her waist. She still forced her back against the palette.

She noticed his gaze. "Hey, we'll be out in no time." She grinned sweetly.

He limped as he stood up, "it's not that of what I'm worried about. It's you."

She cocked a brow questioningly, "What do you—"

He softly lifted up her left arm. He than softly traced the deep cut with his finger. "This was when you were trying to rise up over the water, right? In order to save the little girl stuck in between the pipes?"

She hesitated a nod.

The water was now just below her chest, her side ponytail remained loose as the ribbon was almost falling apart. For they knew, this water wasn't going anywhere but to rise up further. And they knew very well it was gonna be hard in order to make an escape.

He let go of her arm, letting it soak into the water. She glanced up at him, "You're injured too, you can barely walk. Don't try to walk for now, okay?" She rested her hands on his shoulders lightly.

He came in contact with her brunette eyes before blinking slowly. He slowly limped to the side as she followed along with care. However, as she took a final step. One more pipe remained there on the ground, underwater. She stepped than soon stumbled over it. Accidentally taking Natsu with her as the pope clamped her foot.

There she laid underwater, fighting a pipe as Natsu had tried but weakly helped. Soon enough, her weak ribbon broke and her blonde locks clouded her vision as she wavered then away several times.

Natsu took a small glance at her. Seeing the dazing look in her eyes, he swam up quickly. The water just below his neck. He took in a huge bubble of air and swam back down. This time, he wasn't gonna let the girl he loved die.

As her hands loosened their strength, he knew very well he had needed her strength and with her foot in a position like this, she was in no position to reach up and gasp for air. Heck, in his opinion, she was much too short either way.

He waved her loose blonde locks away and grasped her fair neck with both hands. He stood in front of her as he quickly leaned in, pressing his lips against hers tightly as he offered his air to her. Soon enough, her eyes popped open, enough to still feel the slight warm ness of his lips of which she blushed heavily.
