That One Day

(Natsu and Lucy are already dating)

Lucy laughed continuously as she played around with her boyfriend, he tickled her and she tackled him to stop.

However, it was an amazing day. The birds chirped cheerfully, a mist of chalky white clouds appeared in the blue sky. And that golden sun that expressed its whimsical light. It was like no other. Besides, the fact that there was a wondering potion over the apartment.

"Luce, you seem oddly hyper today." Natsu stated, pausing between actions.

"Is that a problem?" Lucy whimpered slightly before laughing aloud once again.

"No," The dragon slayer replied. "No, not really. In the meanwhile, we should hurry on to the guild.

Natsu peacefully climbed across the bed and then planted his feet on the cold wooden flooring. He looked back to the blonde to see her still being giggly and flipping all over the place. While doing so, she laughed continuously and resulted to falling off and landing with a thud.

Natsu strolled over worriedly to see that she wouldn't stop laughing. She would get up if she could, however, she was weak of laughter.

"Luuucccyyy," Natsu gave a worried look.

"Naaatsuuuu," Lucy mimicked back with a result of giggles.

"Are you high or something?" Natsu questioned while picking her up to her feet, but it was no use.

"Hehe, I don't really know." She replied.

"Let's just hurry to the guild. Hopefully somebody can help you out."

He surrounded his ribs with her legs and his neck with her arms as he picked her up and supported her by her thighs.

He placed her gently on the bed. "Get dresses or whatever you do. I'm gonna get ready in the bathroom." Natsu had said before picking up his vest and a towel.

After he has left, Lucy sat there dumbfounded. She looked around the room in a bored manner. She saw her blue dress with the beige skirt at the bottom but she hadn't bother to get it just yet. She heard the show faucet turn on but still, she sat there.

She scratched her messy loose blonde hair in a questioning tone and then fixed her white tank.

Her bright cheery smile came on once again as she stood up to her feet. She fixed her golden yellow shorts and waddled over to the closet. She took out the same outfit and looked at it obliviously. She giggled slightly to her self and begun to undress. Afterwards, she dressed into the outfit and sauntered around with it in admiration.

After a warm shower, Natsu dried himself and dressed into his casual. He dried his hair with the furry white towel and walked out to see his girlfriend skipping over the couch. Once heard the door crack open, she immediately looked at him with worry.

"Natsu! The floor's lava!" Lucy exclaimed.

"Where?" Natsu replied questionably.

"There!" Lucy pointed to the carpet below her.

"Luce, that's just a carpet. Are you sure you're okay?" He asked.

"I'm gonna be burned alive!" Lucy fretted as her hands were held closely to her chest and she jumped back and forth.

"There's no lava!" Natsu stated. He walked right onto the carpet to demonstrate nothing burning. But still, Lucy was scared like a little girl.

"Seriously, what's up with you?" He brought her into his arms as she snuggled closely, looking around petrified.

Her legs tightly wrapped around him, "Please don't let me go."

"Um, okay." Natsu replied with a confusing blink.

As Lucy settled very closely to him, Natsu walked out the apartment, shutting the door behind him still without letting her go as she flinched at her sights.

They walked down the peaceful streets of Magnolia, waving hello to the working people. Kids fancied the view with running and laughter. Their smiles brightened everyone's day.

Still carrying the blonde close to him, the dragon slayer walked into the guild with a couple of 'awe's' and wolf whistles.

"Hey there Natsu, Lucy." Lucy whimpered at the mention of her name from the bar maid.

Lucy hid her scared face behind Natsu's neck very sensitively.

"Is she okay, Natsu?" Erza questioned, walking up.

"I-I don't even know." Natsu shrugged. "Do you think Levy can fix this?"

"Yeah, I guess so." Erza responded.

Erza walked off toward the bluenette whom was chatting with Gajeel and Pantherlily.

"Aren't you two cute." Mira cooed at the dragon slayer and blonde.

Natsu gave a slight chuckle, "I feel like I'm babysitting her than actually dating her."

"It fits you guys." Mira winked before washing another glass.

Without any warning, Lucy popped her head up in surprise, catching a few guild member's attention.

Levy looked curiously.

The blonde's eyes sparkled bright like a star, "Nashu! Piggyback! Piggyback!"

It made sense actually. Seeing as a father give his daughter a piggyback ride had passed by.

"What?" Natsu questioned.

Her eyes grew teary and glassy as she looked at him, "I just wanted a piggyback ride. . ."

"Go on Natsu," Levy rejoined, watching the two. "Take her."

A smile grew between Lucy's lips, "Alright," Natsu gave in.

Natsu carefully placed her gently on the ground and crouched down. She walked around behind him and jumped onto his back and his hands grasped her leg securely.

"You ready?" Natsu smiled behind him.

"Yeah!" Lucy exclaimed like a little girl.

As they watched, Team Natsu chuckled at the two joyfully. Seeing them grow and comparing them from the past. They were like no other. A quite brilliant pair.

Natsu took off running with a laughing aloud Lucy on his back. They didn't know what was going on with Lucy, or however why she was acting so childish. But Levy knew one thing; she was gonna solve it tomorrow.
