Hi everyone! Here's part two for ya! Enjoyyy~
"Natsu, explain what happened. What actually happened." Lucy had demanded strictly.
"I told you! Nothing! My pants just ripped!"
Lucy sighed deeply. It was clear she was tired of his games. She climbed on behind him and yanked towards her the top of his pants.
"Oi! Whoa there Luce!" Natsu exclaimed.
"Shut it!" She shrieked sternly.
After a small second of pulling on cloth, she came across the tag of which it was bought. And to her, it was exactly what was expected.
"Natsu, this says 'Bronze Leather'." She stated.
"Yeah?" He raised a questioning eyebrow towards her.
"These are your only Bronze Leather ones. You've worn these the moment we even started dating!" She snapped. "You didn't even change your pants! These are your only pair Natsu!"
"U-uh! Luce! Look," He stammered as his words fought against him, clearly frightened of the blonde.
"Look at what?" She snarled down at him. "The ripped pants?"
"Okay! Chill out!"
"Natsu, getting someone pissed and telling them to chill out is like shooting someone and wondering why they're bleeding." Lucy scoffed.
"What if I said I love you? Will that be okay?" He eyes her with glassy eyes.
"Yeah! Than we could cuddle and get married and live happily ever after, honey!" She trilled sarcastically. "Natsu! Just tell me what happened! You act like I'm not used to it."
"Yeah but, Luce—"
"Natsu, how many times do I have to tell you?" Her fingers danced within his pink locks. "I love you no matter what, no matter what circumstances. I know you'll eventually burn down our apartment in the future. What's the worse that could happen? You saying you 'don't' during our wedding? Yeah, but listen here Natsu. I love you no matter what. Now tell me what happened before I get pissed."
Being a tightened corner like this, Natsu sure wasn't comfortable. Even settling with the fact that he burnt and ripped his soon-to-be wife's wedding dress. His throat had a burning sensation of which was a first, it was stern and he hesitated to speak anything. At least, nothing related to their upcoming wedding.
"Natsu, come on. Whatever it is, it can't be that bad." She giggled.
At least she's in a good mood, that's good. He thought to himself.
"Okay Luce," He sighed deeply, prepared for anything at the moment. "Just remember that I love you very much okay?"
"Okay." She looked up at him as he stood up in front of her.
He spoke speedily as he inhaled, "So, today I was trying to make me lunch so I got out out a salmon to cook but I accidentally dropped the salmon that was in flames and it kinda-sorta made your wedding closet go up into flames and so your wedding dress got burnt. But when you came, I was rushing around, trying to hide it. But than I stepped on it on accident than, like, the whole top. . . . . . Ripped off?" His thumbs twiddled around in nervously.
Silence clouded the two as Lucy stared him dead in the eye with nothing but a straight face, a neutral tone.
"Natsu," Lucy uttered silently, a shadow grazing her gentle and soft eyes.
"You have full permission to beat me, Lucy! I'm so sorry!" He bowed.
"Just tell me— where's the dress?" She questioned.
"Under the bed." He replied, avoiding contact with her.
She nodded, bending over and pulling it from underneath the comforter.
Her eyes skimmed it all over, quite threatened by the ashes.
"Natsu, you dense idiot," She smiled small.
"I know I am!" He whined in return. "But, why are you smiling? You should be mad. Be mad Lucy!"
She placed the dress to side of her of which it carefully laid out on the bed and she stood up, her thumb caressing his cheek as he glanced at her, eyes locked as he stood confused by her sudden action.
"I don't understand," He uttered quietly.
"Natsu, how long have we known each other?"
"Not counting Tenrou, I'd say about five years." He responded, his trill weak and questioning.
"Natsu, I would've expected you would accidentally burn my wedding dress down. Which is why I bought an extra." She replied, her smile warming and graceful to his view.
"But Luce, that would cost—"
She interrupted with a nod, "no, the cashier would've expected something like this. She gave me the extra one for free."
His eyes that were once filled with worry, soon turn to a glassy onyx. Tears pricked the corners as he sniffled. He than brought her into his warm, embracing arms and rode her high into his arms, swinging her around.
"Oh thank Mavis Luce! I thought we would have to call the wedding off! You have no idea of how much I worried!" He sniffled in between.
"It's alright Natsu, the wedding is gonna be amazing. I assure you. Even if you burn my wedding dress there. I'll be sure to bring some extra clothes." She chuckled.
"Lucy, I love you!" He kissed her passionately before kissing her all over lovingly.
She giggled, "I love you more Natsu."
He hugged her tightly yet softly as he than placed her down on the ground, pecking her nose in return.
That was until she sternly gripped his chin, "but listen here Dragneel, you wanna ruin anything wedding-related, I'll be sure to make your life a living hell. I'll make you wish you were never born. You will fear life itself and every single bride there is. You got that?"
He nodded in a frightened way, staring her in her sweet, brunette eyes as she cocked an eyebrow at him.
"Good. Now, let's get to the guild. Kay, 'babe'?" She grinned at him from the doorway.
He didn't understand it, that was for sure. But he knew for sure, this was the woman he wanted. And he was never gonna turn back on the amazing offer he was given from Mavis.
