You and Ian have always been really close friends. You were always at his house, and he was always at yours. You two were inseparable.
Both of you always had feelings for each other. More than just friends, feelings. Neither of you ever said anything. You were afraid it would hurt your long-lasting friendship.
One day you caught him looking at you. It wasn't the first time this happened, but something felt different. He wasn't just looking at you.
He was in a deep thought, glancing over at you, out of the corner of his eyes.
You smiled. As returned the favor.
