Close Up

The camera flashed brightly, lighting up the room with every shot... every picture.

Zendaya posed for each, admiring the flash and sound of the camera clicking.

A few more pictures of her were taken and then she was told she can have a break.

The photographer was about to start looking over the photos when his boss came it, rushing in as if something was wrong.

"Don't look at the photos you just took, and don't take anymore," his boss warned in a hushed tone, constantly looking over at Zendaya who was fixing her makeup and hair on the other side of the room.

No matter how quietly they tried to speak of her, she heard exactly what they were saying. She smirked as she slid the glossy brush across her lips and gently rubbed them together.

"Why?" The photographer asked, still trying to be as quiet as possible.

"Something's... off about her, and the pictures. The set of pictures you took before these are disturbing, very disturbing. You can look at those, just not these, it's too dangerous," the boss hissed.

"I-I don't understand," The photographer responded.

The boss then pulled a few photographs from behind his back, holding them in front of the photographer.

"Look at them," his boss said. The photographer studied the photos carefully, seeing that in each one, Zendaya had a glassy red tint in her eyes, as if she wasn't the only one in the room when the pictures were taken. As if there was another spirit in the room with them.

Some pictures seemed to move with the blink of an eye, and her appearance would be completely different... almost demonic.

Zendaya had finished applying her makeup, walking back on set, watching the two men talk quietly amongst themselves.

"Is something wrong?" Zendaya asked, stopping them and causing them to look over at her slowly.

"No, no. Of course not, we were about to start up again now, actually," The photographer responded, ignoring everything his boss had just told him.

He shot a glare at the photographer, scoffing, "fine, but you'll see what comes to you after those pictures are taken."

At that, he storms out of the room, and Zendaya watches him leave with a smirk on his face.

"Shall we begin... again?" The photographer asked Zendaya politely and she responded with a light nod.

Off went the clicking and flashing of the camera again, catching every pose... every movement.

Finally, that part of the shoot was over, and they still had one more to do. Zendaya went to change outfits while the photographer looked over the photos.

As he flipped through them, he chuckled.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with these pictures. He thought. Boss is crazy.

He though that until he got to the last picture he had taken. Zendaya was wearing a long black dress with sleeves that only covered the top of her shoulders.

Her nails appeared longer than they did in the other pictures pictures, and her teeth appeared vampire-like. Her eyes looked exactly like they did in the pictures his boss showed him, but darker. Her skin was pale and looked as if she were dead.

What really creeped him out was when when he first took the picture, Zendaya was looking up, away from the camera, but now as he was looking at the picture, she was staring right into the camera, and her demented eyes burned through him.
