Thursday
Christina entered the house, the first thing she seen being Tom.
"Hey, Tommy, are you okay?" She greeted, noticing his visible frown. He shook his head, too focused on his thoughts to speak.
"What's wrong, did you have a bad day?"
"Yes, actually, it started with you leaving me here alone, wondering where the hell you went, having me completely worried..." Tom snapped, looking up from the floor to look at Christina.
Christina stayed silent for a few seconds, feeling guilty for making Tom feel this way, then finally responding, "I'm sorry, I had to run so errands."
She sat the groceries that were in her hand on the bed and sat next to Tom, wrapping her arm around him and trying her best to comfort him.
"Do you think you can tell me exactly why your day was bad?" Christina asked softly.
Tom took a deep breath, then began, "Well first, I almost had a panic attack after discovering you were gone, then I decided to go for a walk and was approached by some lady telling me I should 'escape' from someone."
"Who?"
"I don't know, she just said this person was dangerous and that I needed to escape from them," Tom responded, looking down at his fingers as he fiddled with them.
Christina bit down on her lip nervously, scared of the reaction she was going to get after she said this, "Tom... Do you think she was talking about... your girlfriend?"
Tom slowly looked up at Christina, anger and tears filling his eyes. He balled up his fists and slowly stood up, towering over Christina angrily.
"Why in the hell would she be talking about my girlfriend?!" Tom snarled.
"I-I don't know, it's just that the way you've described your girlfriend, and the way you ended up down here, it's just really obvious that it's her!" Christina defended herself.
Tom then raised an eyebrow, folding his arms and slightly gritting his teeth, "You know... I never really told you much about my girlfriend or how I got down here, so how would you know?"
"You did, you told me about how and old friend of yours kidnapped you, car went off of a cliff, now you're hear. And your girlfriend? She just seems off..." Christina said quietly.
"Don't talk about her like that. She's a good person and maybe you're just shallow to see that," Tom snapped, turning away from Christina.
"Tom, she's a horrible person. First she attempts to kill her boyfriend and thousands of other people, then drags you into the mess and gets you killed," Christina screamed in anger, shooting up from the bed.
Tom slowly turned around, his eyes a mix of it's natural color and a light red. He stepped closer, meeting eyes with Christina, "and how do you know about the people she killed? her ex-boyfriend?"
Christina stayed quiet, realizing she had been caught. Tom grew more anger than before, balling up his fists tighter and causing his nails to dog deep into his skin. He then remembered about his power, his ability, his gift.
"Tell me how you know, or else."
"Or else what?"
"You'll see."
Tom waited for an explanation, folding his arms once again.
"Well... I was friends with your girlfriend, we went to school together. She used to be a real nice, happy, innocent girl, then she discovered this... witch. Or demon, I don't remember," Christina began, growing nervous as Tom stared at her murderously, "She gave her this necklace with a black amulet along with the big book, called the book of shadows. Zendaya let all the power get to her head as well as the demons that came with it. She became strong, too strong. The things she did to Trevor that night were unbelievable, sinister. She never came back to school after that."
Tom stood in shock, unsure of what to say after hearing this. He didn't know Zendaya had such a... dark past. He looked down, regretting his actions, "why didn't you tell me this before?"
"I didn't think it was a big deal before..."
Tom sighed, now realizing that Zendaya may be too dangerous for him to be around, but he didn't wanna 'escape'... He loved her too much, way too much.
