"Greenfield is a killed or be killed kind of place, you gotta be ready or next thing you know, you'll be the next victim."
Greenfield was once a happy, peaceful place, but one small incident and the town takes a turn for the worst.
Demons, ghouls, v...
Hayley and Tom rode through the peaceful, warm night. The car was silent, and the only thing that could be heard was the engine of the car. Tom stared out of the window, trying to process everything in his mind without having a mental breakdown.
"So, about Christina... why does she wanna keep me and Zendaya down here? Did Zendaya do something to her in order for her to be sent down here?" Tom began to question.
Hayley sighed, preparing to spill everything, "Before you met your girlfriend, her and another friend massacred the entire town, and Christina happened to be stuck in traffic when it happened."
Tom looked shocked, not knowing Zendaya was capable of murdering almost the whole town.
"That was the night she met Nicki, who is now her ex."
Tom looked down, remembering his horrific encounter with Nicki. Her insanity, her jealously, her need to get Tom away from Zendaya so she could have her to herself.
"Speaking of Nicki, she arrived here last week. Supposedly, she committed suicide," Hayley informed him, leaving him in complete shock.
"I think I already have somewhat of an idea of why she's here," Tom muttered, looking down at his fingers as he fiddled with them, "I think it's my fault."
"Why would you think that? Did you do something to her?" Hayley asked, not even aware Tom had any connections with her.
"When I had met Zendaya, I knew she had a girlfriend, Nicki, but then Zendaya started to develop feelings for me, and we starting being around each other a lot," Tom began, still looking down, "Then Nicki began to get jealous, and tried to kill me because I "took" Zendaya from her, but then Zendaya came to save me and we had never seen Nicki again. You think she killed herself because of me?"
At that, Tom slowly began to tear up, beginning to blame everything that has happened in the past few weeks on himself. Hayley rubbed his shoulder in an attempt comfort him, still keeping her eyes on the road. They approached a stop light and car came to a stop, in which Hayley took the opportunity to give Tom all of her attention for the time they were at the stop light.
"Tom, I'm absolutely sure it wasn't your fault, her feelings are her problem, not yours. Plus, it could've been for another reason, but just in case, stay aware of your surroundings because she may still have some negative feelings for you," Hayley said softly, putting a hand on the steering wheel and pushing her foot on the gas petal again as the light quickly turned green.
Tom nodded, wiping his tears and sniffing lightly. He slowly looked out of the window, seeing that the sky was beginning to her slighter. It was blue like the sky on earth, unlike the sky in Boo York. This city seemed to have more life than the other places Tom had been in the Underworld.
Tom's Point Of View
I had woke up from what felt like a ten hour nap, not knowing that I had even fell asleep. It was now morning, and the sun was shining bright and the sky was drizzled with puffy clouds. The windows in the car were down all the way and the breeze hit my face lightly. I looked over at Hayley who had her eyes completely focused on the road, not even noticing that I was awake. We seemed to be in a completely different area of Toyko. People filled the pavements and cars flooded the streets. It seemed like an extremely busy day. The radio was up all the way, but the music blared loudly.
"Do you wanna ride, ride, ride, in my foreign?
Let the top down all the way, rollin' through the streets L.A.
Do you wanna ride, ride, ride, in my foreign?
We can turn up the radio, we ain't got no place to go."
I rubbed my eyes tiredly, sitting up in my seat to get a better look at the city streets.
I smiled a little, stretching slowly as I yawned, "How long was I asleep?"
"About two hours, I didn't even know you had fell asleep until I looked over at you and realized you weren't listening to anything I was saying," Hayley laughed.
I chuckled quietly, but didn't respond. Even though I had just woken up, I still felt extremely tired. We had arrived at a huge structure that stood extremely tall.
"Where are we?"
"Gimone Palace. It's where some of my relatives are staying and where we'll be staying for a while, only because of upcoming events, though," Hayley answered.
"It doesn't look much like a palace," I said dryly, still rubbing my eyes.
Hayley laughed again, shaking her head at my comment, "Wait until you see the inside, you'll change your mind."
